Chris was our guide and he was brilliant. A local to Chamonix and very knowledgeable along the way. He knew the operators of the cable car up to the peak so was able to gain inside knowledge on when was the best time to go up, versus going up and being unable to participate due to high winds. We had a great time, but it was early April and the wind was high and the temperature at the peak was -18° so be well prepared with thick gloves, scarves, socks and good shoes. There are many steps, so know that you must be mobile to do the full experience tour.

The most perfect day full of wonderful views the staff were lovely but I would not recommend using the cafe at the top of mountain staff so slow and rude

A truly magnificent experience not to be missed! We originally booked for 25th but the forecast wasn't good so we took advantage of cancellation policy. We made a last minute decision the night before to rebook for Tuesday as the forecast was good. Oh my word thank goodness we did! What a fabulous day seamlessly coordinated by Tony our tour leader who was charming and informative and kept us in the right place at the right time. The day was clear and sunny and the views from the top were magnificent. The cable car was not as scary as we imagined and we even enjoyed a coffee in the outside cafe in the sunshine at the halfway point, whilst envying the skiers. The train trip to the glacier was a bonus and we managed the steps down to the ice caves. We were determined not to miss the opportunity. Please do this trip - it may seem expensive but worth every penny. Exciting, exhilarating and reminding us of our wonderful world!

Had a fabulous experience on this tour. Excellent tour guide (Chris). Chamonix is beautiful, standing on the glass floor and the train ride up to Montenvers was fun. Everything went smoothly and safely. We did not get to go into the Mer de Glace ice cave due to safety issues... but I appreciate that our safety was a priority. Thank you for a great trip. I will recommend to others!

We signed up for the full experience with the gondola and train. We started the day going up the gondola. Then, due to winds, we got stuck up there for most of the day. We spent three hours standing in long lines waiting to get back down. When we got down our guide told us we could not do the train because it was too late but we would receive a refund automatically. When we didn’t receive a refund I contacted Viator who said there would be no refund because the tour company did not approve one. A huge waste of a day and total disappointment.

Wear layers. If you have mobility issues there are a lot of steps down to and up from ice caves. Excellent day out, an amazing experience.

We had a very good guide (Kris). We did the trip in February so need to dress warm. Unfortunately we didn’t get up the Aiguille du Midi due to the second cable car to the top been closed due to the wind so we went up the other side to Brévent. Managed to go into the ice cave which was great to experience. Great town with good places to eat and drink. Bus to and from Geneva was very easy and comfortable.

We booked a tour with Keytours while travelling from the UK, and the entire experience was excellent. The booking process was simple, the price was very reasonable, and it offered fantastic value for money. Before booking, and again prior to travelling, I emailed with a couple of questions. The responses were quick, detailed, and extremely helpful, which gave us great confidence in choosing this company. The meeting point in Geneva was very easy to find, and everything was very well organised from the moment we arrived. The journey itself was comfortable and stress-free. Our tour guide was outstanding – knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic throughout the day. He shared interesting information without overwhelming us and made the experience engaging and enjoyable. When we arrived in Chamonix, he continued to be excellent, making it clear that we were free to explore independently or stay with him for more guidance. That flexibility was really appreciated. Overall, it was an amazing day and a highlight of our trip. We’re so glad we chose to book this tour through Keytours and would absolutely recommend them to others!
