We were lucky enough to book a food tour with Kostas just a week before visiting Chania, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. He is incredibly warm and welcoming, and his passion for food and Cretan culture really shines through. We learned so much during our time with him. The grocery store stop was a standout moment for all of us, and we loved it so much that we went back the next day to pick up some of our favorite items to bring home. Every bite we had throughout the tour was absolutely delicious! I also want to mention how thoughtfully paced the tour was. Kostas kept a comfortable walking pace that my older parents, including one with knee issues, could easily manage. Thank you, Kostas, for such a memorable experience!

This food tour was wonderful! The foods we tried were delicious and really gave a great introduction to Cretian cuisine. I think it was great value for money as were entertained the whole evening, all the tastings were incredible, and the final meal was delicious and filling. Kostas, our guide, was friendly, knowledgeable and interesting. He really created a wonderful vibe in the group. Highly recommend.

An excellent overview of traditional Cretan cuisine -cheese, olive oil, honey, pastries and then a full multi-course meal. All samples were expertly narrated by our guide with details on the geographic source within Crete of each sample or course as well as how each fit into the typical family’s meal.

So much fun! Very educational as we started at a cheese shop, hit two bakeries, then a “grocery store” for various tastings all before dinner. Do not eat before this tour! Like, maybe, for a day or two! The food was wonderful. Our guide amazing. Highly recommend.

We were lucky enough to be the only ones for this tour. We ate so much food. We went to a local produce place and tired lots of things and bought lots to take home too. There was a mix of cakes, small eats, delicious meals and cheese and sweets. It was great. I was so full by the end of the evening. I recommend having a very light lunch.

My husband and I really enjoyed our evening food tour of Chania. Kostas was a great guide providing lots of information about the food, restaurants and shops we visited as well as context and history of Chania, Crete and Greece. We felt like this tour gave us a bit of insider knowledge about the area that made the rest of our stay in Chania that much nicer.
