With only a few hours left to enjoy the city of Charlotte, we decided to join the 4 PM Charlotte’s Premier Historical City Bus Tour—and it was the perfect choice. Our guide, Mr. Jordan, greeted us warmly and took the time to introduce himself and share a bit about his background. Since our group was small, he created an inviting atmosphere by asking where everyone was from and what brought us to Charlotte, making the experience feel personal from the start. As the tour got underway, he expertly guided us through the city’s highlights—from iconic buildings and their rich history to places of worship, sports stadiums, and some fantastic dining recommendations. His knowledge, passion, and genuine love for the city truly stood out. Mr. Jordan isn’t just a tour guide—he embodies the spirit of Charlotte. If you find yourself in the city with a few hours to spare, this tour is absolutely worth it.

The guide greeted each passenger and engaged us in a quick getting to know you moment. He also became the heart of Charlotte for me as he pointed out various buildings and their history. His tips on what else to see and where to dine were greatly appreciated. Offering post-tour assistance was the icing on the cake. What a wonderful introduction to Charlotte!

This tour fit nicely into our lunch break during a conference just a couple blocks away at the Charlotte Convention Center. It would have been a shame to spend four days in Charlotte just shuttling between the hotel and the conference without getting an overview of the city and its history.
