This chef-guided market tour takes a journey through Pacific Northwest culture by tasting Seattle’s best artisan vendors in the famous Pike Place Market. Enjoy diverse tastings at 9 different locations— and food options like chocolate covered cherries, chowder, and much more. All groups are kept to 12 guests to ensure easier navigation of the market, more tastings, and a better platform to ask questions and interact with the group. Leave with a 10% discount card to shop and explore after the tour.

This is a walking tour that does require a moderate amount of physical fitness due to distance, small hills, stairs and cobblestone terrain.
This is a market tour that includes walking/standing and not a restaurant tour with a variety of food alternatives and sitting opportunities.

Meeting Location: is 1600 First Ave outside of Simply Seattle. We meet on the street. Chef will be wearing a chef coat
Gratuities (optional) are not included in the price
Please arrive 10 minutes early. Once the tour leaves the starting point we cannot catch you up as it is a moving tour and guides choose their own routes.
Eat Seattle is permitted and licensed by the Pike Place Market PDA to operate tours in the Pike Place Historical District. The PDA requires any business or person conducting tours within it’s properties and in the public areas of the historical district to be pre-approved and to have a license for this activity.
There is a paid parking garage located at 1531 Western Ave. If you require parking, leave lots of extra time. The lot could be closed due to over capacity in the Summer. We don't recommend driving for this reason..
In the event of a non-appearance for any reason, we regret to inform you that rescheduling or refunding will not be feasible.

We meet outside of Simply Seattle located at 1600 First Ave. That's First Ave and Pine Street. The tour leaves right on time and we won't be able to catch you up if you're late. If you're driving, leave lots of extra time to park.

2.00You visit a fair few spots but it’s mainly junk food you given or when you do get to taste items like the smoked salmon or the Ethiopian pie then they break you a tiny piece of. Having done many food tours in cities around the world I would say this was one of the more disappointing

5.00Will was our Chef guide for the day and seemed to have good relationships with all of the Vendors that we visited. He knew a lot about them, the food pairings and the area. If you're on the fence to take a tour of Pike Place Market, do it and choose this Chef guided tour.

1.00If you want a sales pitch from a “chef” who also likes to talk himself up and about himself then this tour will suit you just fine. For me as a person involved in the food industry this tour was an embarrassment both from what the samples were, the information around the provenance of them and the obvious favouritism or deal this tour has going with the sites visited. Key to the Pike Market is seafood, meat and produce - nothing other than the seafood chowder was even close to what should have been covered. It was all a bit like a “here’s where you should buy from and we get a kickback” as opposed to an authentic food tour.

5.00Worth the money. Our tour guide Will knows his food and was super funny and entertaining. I’ve done this food tour twice and it looked completely different both times, but both times were awesome. Highly recommend. We enjoyed getting extra bites due to a couple of no shows. With the amount of truffles we consumed they could be charging more.
