This activity allows us to visit our Interpretive Center, to taste the Marron liqueur, which is an exclusive chestnut product from our grocery store, accompanied by regional confectionery, namely the typical "Bilhó de chocolate".
The visit also allows to know our collection of chestnut roasted, which gathers examples of Portugal, Spain, France and Italy.

What To Expect
Guided visit to the Interpretive Center within our workshop in Chestnut, where you can get to know various information and curiosities of it. The visit also allows to know our collection of chestnut roasted. Then, tasting 2 Chestnut Liqueurs and 2 chestnut pastries.

5.00The visit to the Castanha Workshop was one of Bragança’s best surprises. Much more than just a space dedicated to chestnut, it’s an immersive experience that genuinely blends tradition, creativity and transmontaneous identity. The products available are of an impressive variety and show how chestnut can be reinvented in creative and delicious ways. From traditional sweets to compotes, liquors, biscuits and other regional specialties, everything reveals quality, authenticity and lots of taste. Each product seems thought to value the flavors of Trás-os-Montes, keeping the tradition but with a modern touch and differentiating. It’s impossible to get out of there without bringing some delicacies — both to offer and to continue the experience at home. And to close with a golden key, there's a museum on the bottom floor that demonstrates the love and dedication that Mr. John put it in every corner of his store.

5.00Shop specializing in chestnut products. It also has A Museum where you can see utensils related to chestnut, its types and history. Very friendly and attentive staff. You can taste craft beer, then drink beer or liquor. They also have candy. I think a visit should be made.
