Next, visit Elephant Sanctuary, a sanctuary where elephants roam freely in a natural forest environment. Here, you’ll quietly observe these gentle giants as they go about their daily routines in peace. We respect their freedom by avoiding any riding or direct interaction, choosing instead to walk alongside them and witness their lives in a natural and ethical setting.

The final, enjoy a scenic bamboo rafting experience as you float down the river, surrounded by lush landscapes and tranquil beauty.

What To Expect

Bua Thong Waterfalls (Nam Phu Chet Si)

We will head directly to the Bua Tong waterfall, which is about an 80-minute drive. We will spend around an hour there to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Explore to experience the natural adventure at Bua Tong Waterfall to breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the calming sounds of the waterfall. Next, we will go to the elephant sanctuary, and it takes 40 for drive.

After waterfall, we will be heading to elephant sanctuary, which is about 40 minutes away. Elephant Sanctuary is an elephant conservation park located in the scenic Mae Tang Valley, just an hour’s drive from Chiang Mai. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we transitioned into a conservation-focused sanctuary. Our herd of 16 elephants thrives in a stress-free environment, where they spend their days eating, playing, and enjoying natural behaviors without the pressures of rides or shows.

    My family and I had a wonderful experience climbing the sticky waterfall and feeding the elephants at the sanctuary. The baby elephants were very cute and friendly. Paul, our tour guide, was professional, friendly, courteous and handsome! He and the driver made the experience very smooth and relaxed. The other visitors were very nice and we all had a lot of fun. It was well worth the time and money to go there. I would recommend Paul to anyone interested in having an enjoyable experience. The water raft experience was okay but not entirely necessary.

    Sticky falls was fun but was more challenging than advertised. Guide Paul was a huge help & very kind. He was effective & the texting about pick up time was great. Elephant experience was fun & very interactive. Taft trip was a perfect end to the day.

    We had an absolutely amazing day visiting the elephant sanctuary, the Long Neck Village and the Sticky Waterfall. Everything was perfectly organized and exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Each stop was unique, meaningful, and truly memorable. The elephant sanctuary was a highlight — it was wonderful to see the elephants treated with such care and respect in a natural environment. Visiting the Long Neck Village was very interesting and eye-opening, and the Sticky Waterfall was so much fun and unlike anything we’ve experienced before. A very special thank you goes to Bella, who made this experience even more incredible. She was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and attentive, always making sure everyone felt comfortable and happy. Her positive energy, clear explanations, and genuine passion really made a difference and turned a great trip into an unforgettable one. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.     Our favorite experience in Thailand! Paul was a terrific guide, teaching us how to feed and care for the elephants. We interacted closely with the elephants, feeding them and walking them into the jungle. Another highlight was climbing the sticky waterfalls as a family. Lunch was delicious too. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Chiang Mai area.
