Wat Chedi Luang Varavihara Wat Chedi Luang, this temple is the site of an enormous pagoda, originally 280 feet high, and which was partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1545. At one time, Wat Chedi Luang housed the revered Emerlad Buddha image now enshrined in Bangkok’s Wat Phra Kaew. One of Wat Chedi Luang’s most striking architectural features is a magnificent Naga staircase adorns the chapel’s front.

5.00This tour was a wonderful way to see some of the most beautiful and iconic places in Bangkok! Our guide, Pui, brought everything to life for us with her deep knowledge of the history of Thailand and the Royal families. We felt like we packed a huge amount of knowledge into just 4 hours and our senses were overwhelmed with the sheer beauty of the workmanship in the palace and temples and the depth of the spirituality and devotion that is in evidence everywhere you look. I highly recommend this tour and Pui as a guide!
