Wat Phra Singh
Wat Phra Singh is one of the most famous and most attractive temples within the walled old city of Chiang Mai. The temple, which is also known as “The Monastery of the Lion Buddha” is an active temple, with many monks and novices living there. Wat Phra Singh dates back to the 14th century when Chiang Mai was the capital of the Lanna Kingdom, and is one of the finest examples of classic Lanna style temple architecture. **The duration included traveling time from the Meeting point to an attraction.
Wat Phan Tao
Wat Phan Tao is one of the oldest temples in Chiang Mai. The temple's first structures were built probably in the late 14th century. Located within the old walled city, just next to Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Phan Tao is well known for its exquisite Lanna-style 'viharn', the ordination hall, entirely made of teakwood on a stone base.

We went to several temples and a market. Maggie was our guide and she is what makes this tour so special. She is a very sweet person and has a passion for the Buddhism and Thailand. Thank you Maggie for being a part of our Thailand story and letting us get to know you and your culture.

Nancy was a great tour guide! We really enjoyed learning from her. She was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer our questions and explain Thai culture. Riding in a tuk tuk was also great. Ended at the night bazaar where Nancy got us a dinner and dessert that was delicious! Would recommend this tour!

This tour was great and the more time I spent in Thailand speaking with other people, the more I realized it. My tour guide Saman is a lover of Buddhism and really wanted to teach me about the religion and practices. We went to many temples in Chiang Mai and he explained so much. I realized how helpful he was when I went to other temples in Thailand with other people and realized they didn't know what I had learned from this one tour. I don't think I appreciated it fully until afterwards. (I was very jetlagged, but he was so engaging). The food part of this tour is not the central part of this activity, but we did end up at the night market and I got my choice of food from several booths - all of it was great and he sat with me and explained the market to me. As is mentioned in this tour, they leave you at the market and you find your own transport home - which gave me time to explore on my own. The tuk tuk around town was great fun and the easiest way to get around from temple to temple. Please remember to dress respectfully. Thank you Saman!!
