08:45 AM - Venture to Wat Suan Dok, a historic temple located just west of the old walled city of Chiang Mai. This temple is renowned for its myriad white chedis and its name, "flower garden temple," alluding to its past as a royal flower garden. Marvel at the many chedis, including a majestic 48-meter-tall golden chedi containing Buddha's relic. Numerous smaller white chedis house the ashes of generations of the Chiang Mai Royal Family, a poignant reminder of the city's history.

5.00Spent the day touring temples in and around Chiang Mai. Guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the temples; the meaning of the various murals, paintings, and carvings; and especially the Buddhist religion and the numerous monks that are historical, legendary figures. Tour included stops for lunch, coffee, and water.

5.00Very well organized private tour. The guide personalized our experience. Explained the rich history of Chiang Mai as the former capital of the Northern kingdom. The cold towels and the stready supply of cold water bottles were helpful in the hot tropical climate. The guide was attentive to detail. We spent the right amount of time at each stop and had an unforgettable experience overall. Strongly recommend!
