Best architecture tour I've ever taken. Cynthia narrated practically non-stop, always perfectly in time with the plentiful and widely varying buildings were passing. I was especially impressed that her cadre of tour guides doesn't accept tips; they do it for the best of reasons. And I must say, I came away liking Chicago a lot more. The only thing that detracted was a jerk behind us that felt the need to boo a certain tower and make periodic political comments. I mean, c'mon man - he's not here. Chill.

Very informative tour led by a docent from The Chicago Architecture Center. You can go indoors if it is too cold outside. It was fascinating to learn the history and design of the buildings.

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while. Some visiting friends and I had a wonderful cruise. The docent Cynthia was incredibly knowledgeable and we learned so much about architectural styles, engineering, social, economic and political trends and how all this interacted. Clear, easy to follow and highly entertaining. Also fascinating to hear her talk about buildings with a personal connection. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We loved the cruise on our holiday from Scotland. Our guide Antony was a total pro - friendly, knowledgeable, articulate, enthusiastic. I hope his mum still reads these reviews! Boat was comfortable and clean, and all other staff polite/helpful too. Highly recommend.

Out of all the boat tours I’m glad my family and I decided to do the Chicago architecture center cruise! We had Anthony as our volunteer guide and he spoke so passionately about the buildings around the lake it was exciting. It was also awesome to learn that parts of our proceeds go towards a good cause!

Went on the last day of the season on a visit from Hawaii while visiting family. Took the tour at 1:00pm and really enjoyed it. What a beautiful day to visit. I wanted to extend ALOHA to Anthony (I think that was his name) who was a great host. He was extremely knowledgable. His passion for the city of Chcago, art, architecture and history is evident. Wanted to say Mahalo in person but everyone wanted to talk to him. So, Mahalo Nui Loa, Anthony and the First1Lady crew.

Fabulous tour. Terry, our guide, gave us a wonderful commentary, and real insight, into the buildings of Chicago and their historical context. Terry delivered the tour in a very engaging manner, and his knowledge and passion for the subject came through in spades. Excellent!!!

This tour was super fun and engaging. We went at 4:00 and got to see the buildings in daylight, sunset, and the dark. It was perfect! Our three teenage sons loved it too. Amy was an awesome guide!
