This was my first time doing this, though I lived in Chicago for about four years 20 years ago. I was overwhelmed by how beautiful the trip was in. The weather couldn’t have been better. Eric was amazing. I loved learning all the details about the architecture and he spared no question he definitely is a gem.

Everything was wonderful. There was plenty of shade for the people who wanted shade. The lady who led the instructional piece was excellent.

Went to Chicago for the first time on a business trip.. decided to explore the city on my downtime.. So many of my colleagues recommend the architecture tour, so I decided to give it a try.. let me just say I was not disappointed at all. The tour is amazing!! There are several companies doing this tour to choose from but I went with Shoreline and they were great!!

Beautifully executed from start to finish. The guide brought genuine depth and enthusiasm to every building we passed — the kind of knowledge that turns a scenic boat ride into something you’ll actually remember. The information was rich without being overwhelming, and the pacing felt just right. Chicago’s skyline looks completely different from the water, and this tour makes sure you understand exactly what you’re looking at. Outstanding value. Pro tip: Bring a jacket — it’s cooler on the river than you’d expect, even on a warm day. Don’t let comfort be the thing that holds you back from fully enjoying it.

Wonderful tour - amazing views, extremely informative, and our tour leader was absolutely fantastic. He delivered the back stories and history of the many beautiful skyscrapers that line the river, with flair and wit - loved his sense of humor. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and highly recommend!
