What To Expect
The Bahamas Rum Cake Factory
The Bahamas Rum Cake Factory produces bundt rum cakes in several scrumptious flavors, like Pina Colada, banana, chocolate, and plain pound cake. The cakes are marinated in the famous Ole Nassau Rum, distilled in Nassau on New Providence Island, and they especially go great with ice cream. These cakes are available throughout the island as well as in the departure lounge at the Lynden Pindling International Airport and at Festival Place on Prince George Wharf. They are vacuum packed for shipping and will retain their flavor. You can get a tour of the facilities and free tastings when you visit. Homemade jams and jellies are also available. Hours of operation: Monday to Saturday 10:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. / Sunday 10:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m.
Queen's Staircase
The Queen's Staircase is a walkway of 66 steps (102 feet in Nassau, the capital city of The Bahamas.

5.00My husband and I had not been to Nassau since the early 70’s and our friend Joyce, who was traveling with us, had toured with Chippies previously and arranged for our excursion with Fonzie. She was exceptional in showing us the island and giving the history of how it has developed over the years. Very interesting. The best though was going through her own community and seeing the love shine from her eyes for her people, as she calls them her family. Thank you again Fonzie for a wonderful and informative tour! 5.00From beginning to end, Fonzie was a gem! She was very fun, informative, kind, and accommodating. We learned so much about Nassau and experienced the beauty of the island during our cruise port of call. We visited the Rum Cake Factory, Chocolate Factory, Queen’s Staircase, Atlantis Hotel, and Junkanoo Beach. Fonzie made sure we tried the conch fritters and they were tasty! I highly recommend Chippies and suggest you request Fonzie as a guide.

5.00Even though it rained that day, they offered ponchos which was nice and the trip itself was informative. The stop at the rum cake factory was my fave but gets VERY crowded so watch out for little ones. Loved seeing the Queens Stairs as well! 4/5 overall!

5.00We could not have had a better time and experience. Fonzie was our driver and she was beyond amazing. So entertaining and such a wealth of knowledge about your beautiful island. The stops on the tour were both beautiful and interesting. It is definitely worth the cost for the trolley tour. Fonzie provided insights into the history and culture, as well as hidden gems on the island we would not have known about if we hadn't taken the tour. Fonzie I hope to one day make it back just to meet you again!!
