Arguably the best one day safari trip. Chobe national park is small but with a high concentration
of wild animals making it possible to spot a wide range of animal species in one glance especially during the boat safari on Chobe river as animals come for grazing on sedudu island and by the river bank for water. A very easy and less tiring activity due to the breaks that we will get between boat safari and game drive during lunch.

This activity begins with a 50 minute road transfer from Victoria Falls to Kazungula border post. Once we get at the border we will do border formalities thus leaving Zimbabwe and then we change vehicles into a waiting 4x4 safari vehicle that will take us to Bostwana immigration for border formalities to enter Bostwana. Soon after we will go on foot past(2 minute walk) the foot and mouth animal disease control where will step on a wet mat with chemicals with our shoes on. We then get back into our safari vehicle for a short transfer to the Boat which will be waiting by the riverside for our boat safari. This will take us three hours cruising on Sedudu island in search of animals. Around midday we will come back to riverside and disembark heading to the restaurant for our buffet lunch which is included at the Chobe safari lodge. Lunch will be approximately one hour then at around 1330hrs you get on the 4x4safari vehicle and you will do a safari trip on the Chobe national park for another 3 hours and you will be dropped back at the Zimbabwean border at 1630hrs. After border formalities will then drive back in the minibus that will be waiting for you arriving by at least 1800hrs.

It was the most fantastic experience that I’ve ever had. Whatever you see there, it’s gonna be more than you think. Also I really enjoyed very exotic experiences with my husband thanks to the professional guide Fortune. I strongly recommend this trip.

Bad organization. I spend two hours in small car, wait for a people on the border just to drop them somewhere else - they use us as a shared taxi, go for another 4 people somewhere else like a taxi again, just join us for a part of the day, we were in park one hour later that was on the schedule, first it should be boat but we had opposite first game drive but shorter, I ask for better car for return because my wife had a problem with her back on that car. They ask me another 80 usd just for transfer to the border!

I booked with Viator but you can also book direct with Forche I think. They're super communicative. You can WhatsApp with them and ask any questions. They're punctual, organized and very professional. It all went smoothly from hotel pickup to dropoff and even across the border (maybe cuz it was wet season). I only had 4 others on my tour, which was great. I felt comfortable and safe the whole time. We started with the safari and then had a great lunch buffet at a nice hotel and then we proceeded with our Chobe cruise. It rained on us on the boat, and they didn't have proper rain gear for us, so bring your own if the weather calls for rain. One of the tourists on the safari was scared of elephants and hippos and kept telling the driver to not get too close. Don't let someone like that ruin your experience. The guides will tell you exactly what to do and how to be safe. We saw lions, hippos, giraffes, impalas, baboons, buffalo, and tons of elephants. It was fantastic and I'd do it all over again!

Viator used the local tour company, Forche Tours for this excursion and I couldn't be happier. They were punctual, super communicative, experienced, and all around professional. You can WhatsApp with the local tour company that Viator uses and ask them any questions you may have. I wasnt' able to do this in any country outside of Africa. They're really on top of their tourist game! I felt very comfortable and safe. We started out with a pickup at my hotel and headed to the border. It went quickly and smoothly (maybe because I was there in low season). We did the safari part of the tour first and then the Chobe cruise part. We saw lions, giraffes, hippos, impalas, tons of elephants and much more. The only damper was a tour companion who was scared of everything and kept telling our driver/tour guide to not get too close. So make sure you don't have someone like that ruin it for you. The guides know what they're doing and how close they can get to the animals. They will tell you not to stand up or scream or talk loud when close to certain animals like the elephants. It rained on us during the cruise part. Forche tours didn't have proper rain gear, just a bunch of dirty plastic trash bags, so bring your own in case the weather calls for rain. Other than than, everything was perfect and I'd do it all over again!
