After registration, the meeting point is at the Käfigturm. Then you walk through the old town. On the way, you can enjoy Bern's chocolate history. You will be served well-known chocolates. At the shop of a small chocolatier, you will also receive a box with a selection of award-winning chocolates.
Conching was developed in Bern and has become the standard method for making chocolate worldwide. This is Bern's most important chocolate history, but at the same time it is also the least known. By being shown the conching technique, you will learn the true story of today's chocolate (melted chocolate).
At the end, you will have seen the old town of Bern from a sweet perspective. Each guest must then decide for themselves whether Bern was a chocolate capital or whether the claim is just marketing.

A very interesting experience, where you will taste different chocolates, know the history and curious facts about the preparation of chocolate. Wearing comfortable clothes and shoes as you walk through the city and in summer can be hot.

Very fun, lots of great stories and a TON of chocolate to eat! Good for all ages too! The tour was about 2:30 to 3 hours. Lots of great history from a Bern native.

No like the tour. My expectation was buy chocolate in different place. I don't like. Too expensive. Only history the different brand the Swiss chocolate.

Felix was a lot of fun. He had a great sense of humor, kept the conversation going, and showed how much he loved his hometown and the chocolate found there. We really enjoyed the tour. The chocolate was phenomenal.
