My friend and I enjoyed this tour. The tour guide shared his knowledge on cocoa, coffee and vanilla and we had a short walking tour to see how they grow. We got to make a chocolate bar, have a good dinner plus dessert from the cocoa and coffee beans we grinded. All the staff was very nice and helpful.

The choclate tour guide was great. The guide really liked his job. He knew what he was doing. Talked about the origin of chocolate and coffee in general and in Costa rica. Then we made our own choclate bars & cookies. Walked around the farm ond plantation and finnished of with a great meal.

Our family had a blast at the chocolate-coffee plantation tour with **Brenda** We were lucky to be a part of a small group and felt like we have gotten a lot of value. Our kids (4 & 6) enjoyed the short hike up the plantation and learning about different vegetables. The chocolate bar making was awesome as well. We got to use our hands to craft our own personal bar with different spices. Again I would like to mention and thank Brenda for being *the nicest* tour guide, we loved it.

This was one of our favorite tours! Such a perfect thing to do on a rainy afternoon/evening. Brenda was so welcoming, knowledgeable and personable. Learning about how coffee is made as well as the origins of chocolate was super interesting as well as touring the spice garden. Crystal was our private chef who made us a delicious meal and we got to eat the chocolate cookies we made for dessert as well as chocolate milk and our homemade chocolate bars. I would totally recommend this tour!!!! It was a cozy activity to do on a rainy night.

A spectacular visit, we learned a lot about both cocoa and coffee and their whole process. Also from medicinal plants and vanilla. Our guide Brenda was super nice, indispensable her knowledge to learn everything we learned. Incredible experience preparing sweets and tablets with 100% cocoa and to top off the married who prepared Cristal was exquisite. 100% recommended:)

Joseph was super friendly and incredibly informative, we learned so much with him as our guide! The animals on the farm are cute and a nice little bonus. We got the chance to make our own chocolate bars and cookies, learn about the different plants and their medicinal uses, and the lunch provided was excellent. I can’t say enough great things about our guide Joseph - we accidentally left our chocolate bars behind and later in the evening Joseph surprised us at our hotel and dropped them off! If you get a chance, you absolutely need to book this tour.

This was the excursion my wife and I were most excited for on our vacation and it did not disappoint! We started the day meeting our intelligent, energetic and personable guide Karla Alvarado who made the trip so much fun and incredibly educational. Once on location we picked our own vegetables, cooked ceviche (vegetarian), chopped/prepared/cooked a traditional Costa Rican lunch and then enjoyed the fruits of our efforts. We then explored the farm and found cocoa trees and many other spices. Finally we ground coffee beans and cocoa using traditional methods and used the products to make our own coffee, chocolate cookies and chocolate bars which we were able to bring home. Overall a truly original experience made even better by the wonderful staff!!
