Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre
Cinque Terre are five coastal villages in eastern Liguria that make up a UNESCO World Heritage site! Here, a train links the five different villages together. A small group tour with a max of 8 people is the perfect solution for those who want to keep the costs down and at the same time touch as many destinations as possible without being in a 54-seat bus. Your driver will be with you for the entire day. He will escort you on the boat and train. - Public boats operate subject to weather conditions and along the Cinque Terre from April until about the 3rd week of October.
Borgo Storico di Riomaggiore
Arrive at Riomaggiore by black Mercedes Minivan. The town climbs up along the ridges overlooking the sea and it is characterized from the typical stone houses with coloured façades and slate-roofs. From Riomaggiore we will take the Public boat to Manarola. Public boats operate subject to weather conditions and along the Cinque Terre from April until about the 3rd week of October. If you wish to hike you can take the Trail 531 Riomaggiore to Manarola. Our driver will follow the group by boat.

What a great time! Lapo was a fantastic tour guide; very accommodating and able to answer our curious questions. It was awesome that he pre-booked a lunch reservation for us because there were tourists everywhere!

We took a day trip from Florence to Cinque Terre with a stop in Pisa, and it was a fantastic experience. Our driver, Claudius, was amazing. The tour was a smaller group, which made it even more enjoyable and personal. Claudius did an excellent job coordinating all of the transfers between the Cinque Terre villages and provided helpful information to prepare us for our stop in Pisa. He was organized, knowledgeable, and made the entire day run smoothly. I would absolutely book another tour with Truescany and would definitely request Claudius again. Highly recommended!

The experience was fabulous. The information and history sharing by Marco was comprehensive and on time as we drove and went pass or looked at sites. Marco's driving was great and we felt safe, we were on time for all activities with great insight guided throughout. Thank you Marco!

Breathtaking scenery and experience. Our guide Diana was incredible. She was very knowledgeable and personable. She made the experience perfect. She seemed to truly love her job which made the experience so much more incredible for all of us. I would highly recommend both the tour company and Diana.

We loved Diana our tour guide! She was so knowledgeable and she has such a lovely personality. She gave us such great information about a variety of topics we learned so much. Highly recommend her and this tour specifically. It was a long day but 100% worth it. We would do it again in a heartbeat! Thank you Diana! We will tell all our friends and family if they ever visit Florence to do this tour.

Visiting three towns of the Cinque Terre was enough to get a feel for the area. The travel was definitely easier with Lapo, our guide. The van ride to and from Florence was comfortable. We didn’t have to think about tickets for the ferry or two train rides. Hiking from one town to the next was not an option because of time restraints. Our guide did give us some basic information at each town but nothing extensive. My daughter went swimming in Vernazza but there is no place to change except the pay bathrooms. Be prepared with euros for the bathrooms. If you aren’t able to walk up sharp inclines, this tour is not for you. Is it worth it for the incredible views of the cliffs meeting the Mediterranean? Absolutely! Our time in Pisa was long enough to see the tower but not to climb to the top so it was really just a check-off stop.

A great first taste of Cinque Terre and just the right amount of time in Pisa. Both parts of the tour had an excellence balance between information and free time; we would walk as a group to a central location, get a quick orientation, given the meet-up time and location, and then we went on to do what we wanted. This was perfect for me and we had enough time to see the main sites, take pics, and grab a snack (or eat a meal in Vernazza). It was raining at the beginning of the day and Dianna had umbrellas (1/group) as well a bottles of water for everyone. She was super friendly and knowledgeable, and took care to ensure all of the group was ok (there was a mix of younger and older folks with different physical abilities). There was a choice between taking the ferry boat or train between Manarola and Vernazza, but the seas were rough because of the weather, so Dianna talk to each group about their preference, which I really appreciated. Getting on and off the trains between the stations was a breeze, since Dianna took care of getting the tickets and knew exactly which platform to go to, making it easy to just enjoy the sites without worrying about logistics. I would definitely recommend this tour if you like autonomy to do what you want but not have to coordinate/navigate, and are looking for an introduction to Cinque Terre. I would like to go back and spend a few nights and fully experience the different villages, but now I know which village I would like to stay in (they all have a different feel) and have a better idea of how to get around since it wouldn’t be my first time. Lastly, we had about 45 min in Pisa which to me was more than enough time to see the tower, take some pics, grab a gelato, and walk around the immediate streets.
