Okay so I’ll start off by saying I do like the location. Super close walk to a great little bakery with amazing donuts. The owner was also very responsive which was nice. Easy check in as well. Few things though. We noticed a window completely shattered in the one room. Checking other reviews, it’s been that way for quite some time. Should have been fixed which goes to show a lack of care. No central air so if you don’t want to sweat all evening, leave the bedroom doors open so the window units circulate air. Superrrr thin walls so you can hear literally everything going on upstairs and it went on all evening. Very very outdated. The shower doors are so hard to open and close. The bed frame is broke at the bottom and we had to temporarily fix it a few times. The last night a mouse ran out into the kitchen. Kinda gross lol. Also, mold in the bathroom. You can see it coming through the ceiling. It needs some serious TLC if you’re going to be charging over 300$/night. Location alone isn’t enough to justify the price.

Beautiful ferry ride to/from Salem. They leave on time, there are snacks and drinks for purchase, two bathrooms and two levels of seating, with shade and tables available on top. Guides give great commentary on the way out! I'm glad I opted for this instead of the commuter train!

I bought a ticket to go from Salem to Boston today and when I bought it something on the website link said I would be able to change it. Then I downloaded the app, and wanted to change the time of my ferry, and there was no menu/link to do so. I texted the chat a few minutes before my ferry time to indicate I wanted to change the ferry time, but it told me I could not do that, that all sales were final. I think the app ought to have something on it where you can change the time of your ferry. Very inconvenient for a tourist who might need to change something. Not happy. As they say in some parts of the United States, "Tourist get screwed with her clothes on."

This is a great way to get from Boston up to Salem. It takes just under an hour, and it's fast and pleasant. There's a snack bar on board.
