Great trip! One of our traveling buddies was ill and could not make the tour. I asked for a refund but to this day I got no response!

Hop on hop off bus was fine. Took us to the lookout spot. We saw the town. Was much cheaper than many of the cruise ship excursions.

Awful. Bus drivers were rude and unfriendly. Didn’t announce stops so we missed a stop we wanted to get off. We’re not consistent with where the buses picked up and drop off people were running up and down the sidewalk from one stop to the next because the drivers stopped in different places. I normally have good experiences with the hop on hop off buses but not in Alesund. Dont waste your money. Spring for a taxi

The sights offered were great especially the mountain top. The views were spectacular. The bus was comfortable and the information over the headphones was educational. Most important there were numerous buses running and the pick up times were on time. The QR code was great you could se where the buses were in real time and adjust your plans accordingly. I would use this service again.

After reading some reviews, we were a bit concerned about how useful the hop-on hop-off would be. Fortunately, we were the only cruise ship in port so we had no problems getting the bus and getting off/on at several of the stops. I can imagine this would be a real problem if you happened to be there with more cruise ships - so check the port schedule beforehand. The buses were clean and prompt - the longest we waited was 15 minutes. The overall route is fairly short, but we thought it a reasonable way to get an overview of the town and were satisfied.
