Our guide “Clare” went above and beyond; she was very knowledgable and engaging and patient; one of the best guides we gave had in our several tours in Italy through Viator and another service.

it was ok. not as magical as people make it out to be. i was expecting the gandola to be riding in the main canal a more . it was average.

We took a gondola ride in Venice and opted for the quieter canals rather than just the Grand Canal, it was absolutely stunning and incredibly peaceful. No crowds, no queues, just the gentle glide through the water and the charming Venetian scenery. Pricing is standard across Venice: €90 for rides before 7 pm (around 30 minutes) and €110 after 7 pm. While it’s not cheap, the experience is worth it for the tranquility and beauty you get when venturing off the main tourist route. Overall, it felt like a truly authentic Venetian moment, highly recommend going for the quieter canals if you want a more serene ride.

There are a lot, and I mean a lot, of places to ride in a gondola In Venice. The cost is 90 euros for 30 minutes with up to 5 people. 90 euros total. That is the fixed price during the day. No matter which small canal you go, there are always a ton more gondolas moving too so you will experience a back up and the gondoliers yell at each other (which makes the ride somewhat unpleasant). It’s really not as romantic as the media makes it out to be…..but….one must at least say they did it while in Venice.

Keep your expectations low. We did get a gondola ride, for the advertised 30 minutes. However, the published itinerary was not followed. Only went up and back on the grand canal. Very disappointed to have spent so much for so little.

It's something you have to experience if you're visiting Venice. It was a very pleasant ride and just the right amount of time allotted.

The ticket exchange place was able to give us an earlier time which was nice. The ride was smooth and beautiful. A bit of rain but didn’t deter from a great time. Gondolier was pleasant but didn’t talk as he was busy navigating the narrow canals. Everyone should do this ride at least once. 😁

Be very aware that you are purchasing a shared gondola ride with other strangers. From where you meet to get tickets, there is a very long walk to gondolas this third party partners with and we could have saved our time just stopping at a closer gondola on the way. Gondola ride was only 20 minutes when we thought we paid for 30 and the gondolier said nothing to us the whole trip. The path was dark, and not in a pretty part of town. You can find one on your own which would provide much better views .

Can be difficult to get in and out of boat if you have any slight leg/ hip issues. Can be steep .but it is worth it! Lovely way to experience Venice.

Viator is very efficient, after dealing with different 'gondola drivers' I check the app and I found a place near to San Marcos square, offering the same service, for less of the half price, we booked, we claim the tickets, and 30 minutes after we were enjoing the gondola trip under the blue sky of Venice!
