  Do not go through Viator or anything to do with that Gondola company. We purchased what we thought were 2 tickets for a private “tour” but they put us with another couple when we went to enter the boat. The gondola driver never spoke to us. He only spoke to the other gondola drivers and smoked. When I went to the ticket booth after for an explanation she said this is not the first complaint but never offered any money back. It is terrible that my husband and I were in Venice for the first time and our experience was so terrible for the Gondola ride that should have been a beautiful experience.

  The gondolier was rude. Kept our gondola next to his friend’s and they talked to each other the whole time. Both of them smoked while guiding the gondolas. Our ride was only 23 minutes out of our 30 minute scheduled ride. When we got back to the pickup place, the gondolier wasn’t paying attention and almost ran us into another parked gondola and our friend in the front of our gondola had to push us away while avoiding having the other gondola hitting his head! When our gondolier finally noticed, he tried to paddle backwards and splashed (soaked) all of us in the gondola! We were looking forward to the ride so much and it was the most horrible experience we could have had! So disappointed.

  A fun ride in a gondola with leonardo who was informing us of the history of Venice unfortunately it was a rainy day but was still enjoyable

  No information of either a private or a group Gondola ride. I was expecting the ride would just be me and my partner but we had another couple with us. The ride says 30 min but it felt like we spent half of the time waiting for other Gondolas to pass. Not recommending this tour

• Relaxing ride- no tour guide

  Gondola rides are very relaxing will definitely do this again. The tickets person was very helpful. We got there late but was able to give us another time. We were able to enjoy the ride and take pictures. Although there was no tour guidance as mentioned in the tour guide.
