The experience begins at our meeting point where guests check in, meet their guide, and receive a brief safety orientation and overview of the tour. Once everyone is ready, guests board our transportation for a short scenic drive to Mosquito Bay. The drive takes about 10 minutes and travels along rustic terrain, offering beautiful views of Vieques at night with minimal light pollution and early glimpses of the star-filled sky.
Upon arrival at the bay, guests enter the water by kayak and begin the guided bioluminescent tour. You will spend approximately 55 minutes kayaking on the water, where every paddle stroke lights up the bay with glowing bioluminescence. Guides share information about the ecosystem, the microorganisms that create the glow, and the natural history of Mosquito Bay while allowing plenty of time to enjoy the magical surroundings. After the kayaking portion, guests return to shore and are transported back to the meeting point, completing the experience.

Transportation was all screwed up because of the parade but got on an earlier tour anyways. Cool experience not sure I’d do it again but will recommend to friends and family.

The trip was canceled because of the full moon making it too bright to see the bio luminescent at night.

I wish I had a positive thing to say as most people do. The problem was there was a full moon last night when we went so we couldn’t see ANY bioluminescence. I understand this is out of anyone’s control. What is in people’s control is taking people on a tour once a month during a full moon, knowing full well nothing will be seen. If the company knows they can’t see anything, then they should not offer the tour at full price. The people were nice. I just feel it’s dishonest to take our money knowing nothing will be seen.

This tour is a scam unless you go at the right time/lunar cycle. We had read that the bioluminescence would be fainter if the moon was too bright…so I’m taking full blame for that; but there was zero bioluminescence. Please be aware and don’t waste your money unless you know it’s the right moonlight. This was a costly mistake and if my review can save one person $, it’ll be worth it. Company of course offered no warnings up front and was happy to take our money knowing full well there was nothing to see.

No one came to pickup at given address. We waited for 45 mins. We had to get on another one at last minute. No one was picking up a call or tried to contact us. Stay out of it.

Very friendly crew. Out of the world experience. I would definitely recommend them to anyone visiting Puerto Rico.

Our flight was canceled and we contacted the vendor to get a voucher or new booking or refund, and did not receive a response. Book with vendor that gives refunds or vouchers.

We spontaneously decided to take a trip to Vieques just to do the bioluminescence tour. Carlos was really informative and super helpful. Everyone on the staff was friendly and welcoming. We had a great time jamming to Bad Bunny on the way there and back. The rough backroads to get there actually added to the fun. Just a heads-up, we needed to take off our shoes and walk about two minutes to the waterfront to get into the canoes. We walked through some smelly mud, but we were told it’s a good foot mask. The waters were so calm that night, and the sky was perfectly clear to see the stars. Thanks so much for such a fabulous experience!

10/10 recommend! Carlos and Alberto were SO knowledgeable and friendly. Ian with Fun Brothers helped us find a taxi when we were cutting it close time wise because of the ferry. We plan on coming back to Puerto Rico in the future, and we will definitely do this again! A few things we didn’t think about or didn’t know before we headed to the tour: 1) A ferry is required to get to Vieques and we were not allowed to bring our vehicle. 2) The ferries only run every so often. We ended up getting a hotel room because they had stopped running once we finished the tour.
