Terrific tour showcasing lots of scenery, bits of Māori culture, and of course yellow eyed penguins. We had a great time looking at sea lions as well. Loved how honest and fun our guide was!

We absolutely loved the tour! Ben our guide was very knowledgeable and took care of us well. Loved how good quality binoculars were provided and we saw 2-3 yellow-eyed penguins amongst other wildlife including various local birds, fur seals, and sea lions. We also had the opportunity to feed sheeps on their farm which was super adorable.

Well worth the effort. I went on the 4 hour trip today led by Paula. It was fantastic, we saw so much and it was clear she was knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife and conservation. The promotional video shows what to expect. My only regret was the quality of my photos which in no way reflected the wonderful animals and views that I saw. Thank you Paula and Clearwater for a once in a lifetime experience..

The trip was well worth the time. It was not just penguins, but all birds, water and land, plus the seals/sea lions, numerous plants, and a great explanation of the ecological problems faced by New Zealand. Adrian was very knowledgeable and accommodating. While I did not partake of the cookies (she loved them), he more than sated my curiosity. (Yes, corny...) Anyway, we did see two pairs of nesting yellow eyes. We would do this tour again in a heartbeat.

Very responsive to email and accommodating to cruise ship passengers. We were picked up near visitors center in the Octagon in Dunedin and at drop off we were asked where we wanted dropped off. We asked for Speights Brewery. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We were supplied with binoculars, identification sheet and rain gear if needed. We had several stops including the farm where the restrooms were located and many sheep. All the beautiful property is privately owned by Clearwater and the family is hands on with the business. It is great opportunity to see the seal, sea lions and penguins in their natural habitat. The walk back up from the beach was a little strenuous for some but as a 68 year old I had no problem. Dress in layers and prepare for wind. Enjoy!

My partner and I had a wonderful tour this evening with Adrian - who was a fantastic and extremely knowledgeable guide. We were lucky enough to see four adult Hoiho out on the beach and two more on their nests. A truly unforgettable experience and memories we will treasure forever.

This was a great tour and extremely well organized. With our very knowledgeable guide, Ben, we got to view and learn about fur seals, sea lions and yellow eyed penguins. ( plus many birds along route) The creatures are all in various stages of endangerment and it was interesting (and sad) to hear how this has come about. We also learned what extraordinary lengths people are taking to try to save them despite all odds.
