What To Expect
Coasteering is a combination of adventure swimming, caving, climbing, scrambling and cliff jumping -where you will be exploring gullies, caves, cracks, and a variety of rock formations created over millennia by the Wild Atlantic Ocean! This activity is the embodiment of the Wild Atlantic Way and the best way to feel the power of the raw and wild west coast. We use an amazing location that our expert guides know inside out to insure we will provide you with an amazing and safe Coasteering session in Connemara. Coasteering can be for everyone, we will tailor each session to suit the groups sense of adventure, fitness, and ability. This is an action packed, adrenaline pumping activity and is our most popular new activity at Real Adventures, one not to be missed whilst your visiting Connemara.

5.00amazing experience and felt safe with the team at all times. we were tired from a morning hike but could have stayed out there for much longer due to the beautiful water and scenery. my thrill-seaker son was thrilled with getting cliff jumping in ireland done!

5.00Absolutely fantastic experience coasteering with Clare and Barry. Adventurous climbing swimming and jumping with a good level of difficulty but felt very safe throughout. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

5.00This was the best experience I did for my 40th birthday. I took a solo trip to Ireland and really wanted to jump off a cliff. I had been going through a lot in life and wasn't in shape but the guide was amazing and worked with me through the entire experience and she even took our pictures jumping off the cliffs. I will definitely being this again when I come back and my kids are older.

5.00This week, I had several opportunities to go coasteering with the Real Adventures Crew, and I have to say it far exceeded my expectations. The experience was not only thrilling and well-organized, but the guides were exceptionally knowledgeable, blending fun anecdotes, local history, and nature trivia that enriched the entire adventure. Each part of the tour was thoughtfully designed to accommodate both beginners and those with prior experience, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone. With all equipment provided and a natural playground of crags and tidal pools to explore, it was easy to immerse myself in the moment and lose track of time. Having spent over two decades in the military, I’ve been on many guided excursions that felt disorganized or lacked educational value—but the professionalism and preparation of these guides stood out. Their confidence and competence made me feel completely secure throughout both days, and the hours navigating the Connemara coastline seemed to fly by. For someone who began the week knowing nothing about coasteering, I left with a newfound passion and a strong desire to return. 5.00Our first coasteering experience and it was truly amazing. Danny and Stevie are great guides. They're really good at giving the right instructions and guide you through. Never would heve thought I would jump off a cliff of 8 to 10 meters highs. Above that, the surroundings are beautiful!

5.00David & Stevie were our guides. We are a family of 5 with 3 adult kids. We planned a few months in advance and got the time a lot we wanted. The group size was probably 15ppl. It was so fun! Highly recommend even for first timers. They took care of everything and kept our family safe. My timid youngest even had a blast! The rocks weren’t too super high and the Atlantic wasn’t too cold. Getting out of the water was the hardest part for me (51 yrs, less active than I used to be) but our great guides helped me the whole time. I do not recommend water shoes for this btw. They were too slippery. The outfit provides shoes and shorts anyway (to protect the wetsuits) so you really only need a swimsuit and towel. Great value! Have fun!

5.00Fun, adrenaline fuelled adventure with excellent guides who made us feel safe and ensured everyone had a great experience , whatever level of nerves! Teens and adults had a great time scrambling over rocks and jumping into beautiful water from various heights. A highlight of our week in Connemara. Thanks Danny & Clare

2.00Our 5th time coasteering & we were extremly disappointed this time. Group was so slow, only got 4 jumps in & no big ones. There were 2 guides as usual & there should have been a split group allowing the more experienced gang to go ahead & get more jumps in. Really sickened to have paid 250€
