5.00We had a wonderful time visiting this family owned coffee farm! We booked through GetYourGuide. My husband and I were picked up at our hotel for the short trip to Ciudad Viejo, about 15 minutes outside Antigua city center. We rode on benches installed in the back of a pickup- this was a beautiful way to see parts of Antigua and we were lucky to have a beautiful, cool morning to enjoy. I would recommend tennis shoes and sun protection. There’s a small amount of walking but nothing strenuous or steep. We were back at our hotel by 12. Ultimately my husband and I agreed this was our favorite experience on our trip because it gave us a glimpse into local life. At the coffee farm we learned more about the planting process and care, along with the different coffee varieties. At the end we got to enjoy a few cups of coffee. This is truly a family business managed by a few generations- to me that added a lot to the experience as there is clearly a lot of pride and care that goes into their business. Our hosts were so gracious and friendly- I really appreciated them sharing this bit of their lives with us.

5.00My experience with Finca Rivera was absolutely amazing! I was picked up in the families truck and taken to the farm. I got to enjoy coffee while playing with the kittens and dogs. It was so informative and felt very personal. I will be recommending this to all my coworkers in the coffee world to try and learn more about coffee!!

5.00Incredible tour in a family-run farm just outside Antigua. They have a lot of knowledge, passed on by generations and they are also very kind. I saw the process from planting the little plant to making a pot of great coffee. If you want an authentic experience, in a local and smaller farm where you can take your time and understand this part of their culture, I recommend! Thank you Alex and Ana:)
