A fascinating insight into the later life of one Australia’s most treasured authors . Her house and contents were extremely interesting and were brilliantly described by our guide. The experience was well worth the money. Highly recommended

This tour was intersting and enjoyable. It lasted about 2 hours all up. The house itself is not a heritage home. The tour is only through the ground floor of the house but there is more than enough interesting things to see and hear about. The house is still lived in by Colleen's husband and the tour is taken by the housekeeper who has been with the family for many years. The housekeeper is not an overly engaging speaker but she happily tells stories about the family and gives good explanations of what we are seeing. The house is literally filled to the roof with an expensive, expansive and eclectic collection of many beautiful pieces of furniture, ornaments, paintings, stained glass, and books. No photography is allowed inside. Worth a visit.

It was a lovely home and tour. Very educational and enlightening! Colleen McCullough was a very educated woman, who thoroughly researched her writing subjects. Highly recommended tour.

Solo traveller went with a tour group Thought the price for tour was over priced Lady who showed us around the house was colleens housekeeper of long standing I felt that she could have greatly increased on the dialogue she gave I had to ask several questions eg when did Colleen die where is she buried did she or has anyone written her biography just general interesting questions that would have really boosted the tour it was very minimal and really the guide/ housekeeper did not seem all that enthusiastic about having us there The outside of the house appeared very unkept and unloved needed some serious repairs I left quite disappointed after having so much love for her work Tim and The Thorn Birds were such treasures Just having a few books for sale or bookmarks would have boosted our interest and gave us a keepsake

The housekeeper/tour guide was bored. She’s clearly done this many times and the e whole thing just doesn’t interest her. Entry was full of cigarette smoke, strong enough to be completely overpowering. Tour was a lot of “look how expensive this item is”. Not what we expected. Whole thing just felt like a money grab. At the end the housekeeper flogs off books that look like they’re second hand. Office where they were stored was dusty and unkept.

The housekeeper to Colleen runs the tours. She explained Colleens life story in detail. If you have read her books you will love this tour It only runs on a certain day of the week so book early.

The guide in the home was the glue that made this hang together. Her close relationship with and intimate knowledge of Colleen made it worthwhile. Baunti drove the bus

Undoubtedly one of the highlights of my trip. Our guide was Rachel who gave a witty and insightful glimpse into the world , the extraordinary world of the great writer, scholar, neuroscientist and philosopher CM. The vibe was so strong in the house that is was though CM was guiding us herself. Every corner, every room filled with her spirit. Thank you Rachel and the entire tour group for providing such an unforgettable experience.

We did seven Bounti tours and they are all fantastic. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. The office folks were also very helpful and efficient. They made sure that everything went smoothly and made our holiday special.

Overpriced for a very underwhelming experience. Guide was less than enthusiastic. Tour could have been reduced to one hour. Time wasted in fernery discussing global warming; totally irrelevant and just “fill-in” to make up the advertised time slot. Group size was comfortable but tour proved that money and talent do not buy good taste.
