With exclusive access you will enter the Colosseum through the Gladiator’s Gate, walking directly onto the arena floor. Experience the grandeur of the arena from a unique perspective, as you stand where the gladiators once stood, when they walked out to the sounds of thousands of yelling spectators.
Your audio guide will bring to life the exciting and shocking events that took place where you now stand. Enjoy an up-close view of the underground chambers exposed below, wander through the vast corridors, and climb the ancient stone stairs of this magnificent amphitheater, as you learn of its rich history.

Toilets are limited, use the toilet before arriving for the tour. (Breaks made when possible)

Tours will run rain or shine (unless closed for safety reasons)
There are mandatory security checks al all entry points to the sites. The wait time time for the security check can be considerable during peak times/seasons and has nothing to do with the ticket line

1.00Very disappointed. We only saw a very small fraction of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Our tour guide took us to the top, stopped, and then talked for 45 minutes. Just showing us pictures. We could have been walking and talking and shown so much more. She was more interested in standing in the shade then showing us actual ruins. We only saw the temple of Vesta. I was so relieved when she couldn't go into the colloseum part with us. Next time I would just get tickets on my own. Not worth it.
VIATOR’s colosseum tour is one big Scam!

1.00Our tour booked through visitor was with a local company called Go Italy. The directions about meeting points were so poor. On a 99 degree day in Rome, their timing to meet was changed last minute, and in addition we were informed via email that the Colosseum leg of the tour (colosseum being the most important attraction in Rome) would have no guide accompanying. This was $482 for a family of 4. They said they would go a 20 percent discount for the time change and no guide inconvenience. In any case, there was no communication with them when we had trouble finding the meeting point. We ultimately placed an international phone call to the local operator. Visitor no where in the picture. We missed seeing 2/3 attractions and never saw our group! Total scam . VIATOR colosseum tour : stay away ! No one at VIATOR has replied to my emails.

Booked Guided Arena Tour of Colosseum... that was NOT Delivered

2.00The tour that was described on Viator was NOT the same as the tour we received. We booked this specific tour for the Colosseum in Rome for the ARENA access and to be GUIDED with an expert and received neither or them. When I called the provider number from the Coloseum was told we would get a full refund on the phone when I called from the Colosseum where we were unable to access the arena area and then only received a partial refund. We only booked this tour for the Arena and guided part. Thought the provider should refund all (or closer to all) of the amount, but only did a portion.

5.00Our tour guide Humie was fantastic! She was a wealth of knowledge and humor to complement it. We did the tour of the Forums and eventually the Colosseum. We found out a day before that she would not be accompanying us at the colosseum but gave us a great rundown of what to check out and see. Highly recommend.

5.00Had a great time on a hot summer day at the coliseum. Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He was very cognizant of the heat and made sure to find shady spots for the stories!
Ensured arena access but tour was less than we expected

3.00My impression is this tour operator is a third party that hires guides but does not have the same permissions as some other tour companies. For our tour, our guide was unable to come into the colosseum with us despite it being booked as a guided tour for both the colosseum and forum. The tour was fine and she was informative. We had around 15 people in our group, but we still did not have many opportunities to ask questions and were given very little information about the colosseum before entering. We were glad to get arena access which is why we booked this ticket, but the tour itself didn’t add a lot.
If I was able to actually bought a $24 tkt myself I would not have done this tour.

3.00The greater was tucked away under the tree getting some shade and not by the red pillar as indicated. He was also rude and said only word to me “pass”. The guide was very knowledgeable but we were disappointed he was not able to go inside the colosseum so half of the tour was us standing in a huge line outside without a guide or info (he should have kept the group together and told us the history while we waited on the huge line).
