• Toilets are limited, use the toilet before arriving for the tour. (Breaks made when possible)
• No weapons (pocket knives), glass bottles or large backpacks
• Tours will run rain or shine (unless closed for safety reasons)
There are mandatory security checks al all entry points to the sites. The wait time time for the security check can be considerable during peak times/seasons and has nothing to do with the ticket line

1.00Do not book any tours with this tour operator! Booked our tour to the Colosseum Arena Floor, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill guided tour on Jan 4, 2026. On Feb 4, we followed the provided directions to the meeting place at Santi Cosma e Damiano, Via dei Fori Imperiali, 1, 00186 Roma RM, Italy. Our scheduled tour was at 10:15 AM. When we got to the Colosseum Metro station, we received the following text message “tour time had changed to 11:00 AM” and “Roads near Piazza Venezia are closed. Please plan ahead to reach your Colosseum tour on time”, with a link to follow to the meeting place at Santi Cosma e Damiano. The walk from the Colosseum Metro station to the meeting point was estimated about 12 minutes. We were located two minutes from the Basilica San Cosma and Damiano, where the police had shut down all the vehicle and pedestrian traffic on Via dei Fori Imperiali at the intersection with Largo Corrado Ricci. Attempted to reach the meeting place with the provided link that they sent by text message but we could not reach the location, because road closures and gates closure. Called the tour operator numerous times to provide us with an alternate meeting place or to give us better directions. Informed them that the road was closed which the attendant replied that the roads were open! We have pictures of the police blockade. For two hours attempted to reach their location, even took a 20 minutes taxi ride that dropped us off near the original police blockade location. Our final phone call with the tour operator was to inform them that we could not reach the meeting place and to request a full refund of our payment of $182.68, which she declined and then hung up the call.

5.00Max our tour guide was warm and welcoming with a fun and friendly personality. He was engaging, enthusiastic and full of stories about each site we visited. I didn’t realize that the Roman’s were up-cycling millennia before it became popular! Reusing materials and repurposing architecture. Sometimes simply adding a cross when Christianity arrived- to temples where they worshipped gods and deities, Just fascinating. Max was approachable and knowledgeable and very happy to answer any questions we threw at him. It was a pleasure to be in your company Max, you made our trip memorable as well as insightful and educational. We had an absolute ball! Best wishes Tracy and Max - Manchester,UK.

2.00Tour was changed from 11 to 11.30. We were told at 11.45 that the tour guide had not showed up! Tour started at 12.15. This was wasted time in our day! Our tickets were for a 13.00 entrance to colosseum so suspect the not turning up was a fabrication. The guide was good and informative but could hardly hear through the headset. Overall, disappointing and I would just go myself the next time
