With exclusive access you will enter the Colosseum through the Gladiator’s Gate, walking directly onto the arena floor. Experience the grandeur of the arena from a unique perspective, as you stand where the gladiators once stood, when they walked out to the sounds of thousands of yelling spectators.
Your licensed tour guide will bring to life the exciting and shocking events that took place where you now stand. • Refunds will not be provided for no-shows or late arrivals. If you are late to the meeting point, you will not be able to join your tour.
• Toilets are limited, use the toilet before arriving for the tour. (Breaks made when possible)
• No weapons (pocket knives), glass bottles or large backpacks
• Tours will run rain or shine (unless closed for safety reasons)
There are mandatory security checks al all entry points to the sites. The wait time time for the security check can be considerable during peak times/seasons and has nothing to do with the ticket line

Terrible locating meeting spot

1.00If I can give you zero stars I would. First there are no identifying markers to find the meeting point. No Company name was sent with purchase of tickets. Just a location that’s not visible. Luckily we got there 45 minutes early. When we showed someone our reservation they pointed us to the wrong group just because they were in Spanish. They sent us across the street through halfway through our tour we find out that we were with the wrong company. She was very nice to allow us to be with her group as far as she can take us so I had to call the company. Unfortunately, our tickets for the Colosseum had expired and we did not get the whole experience. Had to re-purchase tickets at the box office walk all the way back with a person that’s elderly to the original spot that was still difficult to find eventually, we found the spot after going in circles I must say Rogelio, our tour guide was amazing and explaining everything, and trying to accommodate us for the lost experience.

5.00We booked a comprehensive tour so that we could see all three sites together. The booking process was very efficient and Maria, our tour guide, was excellent, sharing her expertise and knowledge about the history of Rome, which put everything in context. Of course the sights were amazing, but we wouldn't have got so much information without booking the tour. It lasted a full 3 hours and we learned so much.

5.00This area is very crowded. Being on this tour saves lots of time. It was great seeing so much of the arena and understanding the history. The guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He recommended a good restaurant to us in the area.

5.00Can’t remember our guides name but he was originally from Pittsburgh, but has lived in Italy for 30 years. He was a super nerd from all things regarding Italian history. And I mean that in the best possible way. He was a fountain of information and answered all questions clearly. You could tell that he loved Italy and his job. Despite being there off season the colosseum was very crowded but he got us to all the best vantage points and gave us plenty of time for photos. We walked at a very fast pace because there is a lot of ground to cover but you never felt like you would get lost or left behind if you stopped to take photos because he would always stop in different areas and hold up his water bottle making it easy to always find him. Great tour. Great guide. Bucket list…checked!

5.00Security is tight. Twice our bags went through security screening, we had to show our tickets in 3 locations. Was it worth it? Oh my yes! Wonderful, informative, full of wonders and history. Our tour guide was very informative. I’m so glad we came after the regular tourist season, because it was still very crowded.

5.00The tour guide made this a wonderful experience. The depth of knowledge expressed was spectacular, the route was amazing and complete with pauses for photos at amazing spots, and if you’ve ever been here on your own self-guided route then you’ll almost certainly be surprised when you’re led to a new spot you haven’t seen before as its history and significance is orated. Absolutely strongly recommend this!

5.00Very good tour of the area, though you should bring a bottle of water and wear comfy shoes. Lots of walking involved. I went with Marta (I think), who was absolutely wonderful! She had intimate knowledge about everything that met our eyes and explained everything in a very easily understandable manner. She gave us plenty of time to look around, take photos, and take a break. She was like a very friendly teacher guiding us around the whole place.
