With exclusive access you will enter the Colosseum through the Gladiator’s Gate, walking directly onto the arena floor. Experience the grandeur of the arena from a unique perspective, as you stand where the gladiators once stood, when they walked out to the sounds of thousands of yelling spectators.
Your licensed tour guide will bring to life the exciting and shocking events that took place where you now stand. Enjoy an up-close view of the underground chambers exposed below, wander through the vast corridors, and climb the ancient stone stairs of this magnificent amphitheater, as you learn of its rich history.

• Toilets are limited, use the toilet before arriving for the tour. (Breaks made when possible)
• No weapons (pocket knives), glass bottles or large backpacks
• Tours will run rain or shine (unless closed for safety reasons)
There are mandatory security checks al all entry points to the sites. The wait time time for the security check can be considerable during peak times/seasons and has nothing to do with the ticket line
The names provided at the time of the booking cannot be changed.

3.00Save your money and get a ticket direct from the colosseum website. This tour said skip the line but we waited 45 minutes in line while the non tour ticket holders breezed right through. Non of us could understand our tour guide and bc we waited in line for long to get in we had to skip things. It was very rushed and not enjoyable.

4.00The experience to start with was choas, nobody knew where to find there guide, it took us over half an hour to be then told he had gone and told to go to the colosium to find him. This was a nitemare! But by chance we say some people with the same stickers as us and we found our group! They were at the entrance anout to enter. We were very lucky to have found him!The guide was really good and the tour was great.

2.00Everything was organised so poorly. Meating point very crowded, no signal to point where the meating point is and the staff really not helpful. Nobody didn't know what to do. We were asking each other where to go or if we are staying in the right queue or not. On top of that, the guide was absolutely useless. Talking very fast. He probably knew that because he asked that. The reply was to speak slowly but nothing changed. He showed us some pictures on phone that nobody could see and told us absolutely not one really interesting story about. Everything was so different than all the other experiences we've had with other tour guides. The day before we've had a Vatican tour with a different company and the guide kept us three hours so involved in her stories. At the end we were sorry for not buying the audio guide instead. That was just our experience. The two stars are for the tour not for the places which are amazing.

3.00Unfortunately did not have as good as a time as we’ve had on other Viator tours! the check in process was disorganized, it was 1 person checking in everyone for multiple tours. Additionally, our tour guide was difficult to understand and ran out of time to take us through the roman forum.

Don’t use trip advisor to book your tour for the colosseum

1.00We had a colloseum guided tour planned but the company show me Italy read an email inquiry for a different tour and moved my colosseum tour to a different day and time which we could not attend . In the trip advisor app it still had my original date and time so we showed up and both viator (who trip advisor uses) and show me Italy (who viator uses)said we could not go so we had to scramble and pay $272 extra euro to book a self guided tour the next day. Show me Italy was able to put us on a catacomb tour - and Kristina our guide was great- but we still lost $$ in the process. We heard other folks had similar issues. My advice - since the colosseum tickets are strict to the person on the day- book directly with a tour company and don’t use trip advisor as they often have three levels of companies and if there are changes trip advisor will not update their app to let you know - which they should fix by the way.

5.00Please make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes on your tour. There is a steep hill that you will have to navigate on your tour.
