With exclusive access you will enter the Colosseum through the Gladiator’s Gate, walking directly onto the arena floor. Experience the grandeur of the arena from a unique perspective, as you stand where the gladiators once stood, when they walked out to the sounds of thousands of yelling spectators.
Your licensed tour guide will bring to life the exciting and shocking events that took place where you now stand. Enjoy an up-close view of the underground chambers exposed below, wander through the vast corridors, and climb the ancient stone stairs of this magnificent amphitheater, as you learn of its rich history.

• Refunds will not be provided for no-shows or late arrivals. If you are late to the meeting point, you will not be able to join your tour.
• Toilets are limited, use the toilet before arriving for the tour. (Breaks made when possible)
• No weapons (pocket knives), glass bottles or large backpacks
• Tours will run rain or shine (unless closed for safety reasons)
There are mandatory security checks al all entry points to the sites. The wait time time for the security check can be considerable during peak times/seasons and has nothing to do with the ticket line

5.00Our guide, Ragu, was brilliant, knowledgeable, witty and engaging who brought the floor of the Colosseum to life. He answered all questions fully to the satisfaction of the questioners, explained the linguistic roots of how the Romans influence our modern language and the evolution of art from the ancient Greeks through the Romans to the Christian traditions. He is easily the best, down-to-earth guide we have ever encountered.

5.00Giorgio our tour guide was great - very friendly and extremely knowledgeable throughout the tour! The meeting point was easy to locate and then once earphones were provided to us all we were off to the Colosseum. Amazing place with some really interesting facts and information from Giorgio. Then to Palatine Hill which had an amazing view of Rome. And finally around the Roman Forum which was spectacular. Lots to see but the main highlights definitely provided from Giorgio throughout so we didn’t feel we were missing out on anything. Some free time also provided at the three different points of the tour to get some pictures and take it all in. Couldn’t recommend this tour enough if you are visiting Rome!

5.00You’ll gain knowledge about the design, engineering and functions of the structure from many viewpoints within the structure of the amphitheater. The Palatine hill and forum sections are very large and this part of the tour is more high level. We spent another hour and a half on our own walking through those areas, exiting off Palatine Hill which led us to Circus Maximus. It’s a pretty full day of walking.
