Our special access tour will let you enter the Colosseum through the 'Gate of Life' walking directly onto the arena floor, just as the gladiators did centuries ago. Once inside, feel the sand under your feet, experience the grandeur of the arena from a gladiator’s perspective and get an up-close view of the underground. Your expert tour guide will bring to life the exciting and shocking events that took place where you now stand, as you wander through arches and climb ancient stone steps, in this magnificent amphitheater.

Tours will run rain or shine (unless the monument is closed by the officials for safety reasons)
There are mandatory security checks at all entry points to the sites. The wait time for the security check can be considerable during peak times/seasons and has nothing to do with the ticket line
Toilets are limited, use the toilet before arriving for the tour. (Breaks made when possible)
No weapons (pocket knives), glass bottles or large backpacks
Refunds will not be provided for no-shows or late arrivals. If you are late to the meeting point, you will not be able to join your tour.
Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.

Roman Forum
Dive deep into ancient history as you explore the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum, the birthplace of Rome that is covered with breathtaking ancient architecture. Learn about Rome’s legendary twins, Romulus and Remus, as well Ancient Rome’s beloved Julius Caesar.

1.00Show Me Italy were a total shambles. People didnt know if they coming or going. One person from that company on a little bike no proper signage as there are many tour operators there. Lots of confusion. Paid a lot of money and they couldn't provide me with headphones even though it was included. Staff unhelpful. So disappointed with this experience what should have been an amazing one.

2.00We arrived early at designated spot but no sign of tour operator Show Me Italy. They showed up just before tour start time. Mass confusion checking in and 6 of us got left behind without a guide or tickets. They gave us our tickets after 30 min because they couldn’t reach the guide and sent us in the Roman Forum to search for our guide. We found her an hour later as she was leaving the Palantine Hill for the Colosseum. Tour had 22 people which was way too many for a crowded place like that. Colosseum was amazing and well worth the visit. Tour operator would not refund the part we missed nor pay for just the Roman Forum so we had to pay €18 each to go back in to see it without a guide. Show Me Italy was very disorganized and tried to say it was our fault as we were late. But we weren’t late and there were 6 of us left behind. Don’t use this operator!

3.00The title of this experience is highly misleading. It says live guide but apparently this means audio guide via an app! Even the instructions in some places mention that this is a guided tour. The audio is decent but the directions are not easy to follow and you end up spending a lot of time trying to correlate the audio and the places. Do not go for this if you are looking for a real guided experience.

1.00We were very disappointed in the assistance we received from the staff of Viator that were supposed to help us out. First they sent us to 5 different places (2+ miles walked) only to find out we were in the wrong right place from the beginning. All of the downloads were difficult to do and a lot of the downloads wouldn’t even work. The crowds were horrendous and expect a lot of walking and going up and down old stairs that are not even. Finally I paid for extras on this tour but was told I didn’t purchase enough of the extras. Be careful, they are going to nickel and dime you like crazy.
