  Don’t not book with show me Italy…. they sent a message to cancel my tour 2 days before which had booked months in advance for a special birthday…they offered a refund or to change the date after multiple attempts of messaging and calling to change the date I got response…thank you for ruining my daughters 30th birthday suprise!

  I would rate this as 4 out of 5. The guide was excellent, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely book this trip again. The only negative point way that the original booking time was changed and we had to wait longer to start the trip.

• A company that dosen't answer its phone

  Gave cab driver drop off instructions provided by tour company, was unable to locate tour guide. Called number provided by company three times, and texted twice. Phone calls were not answered and there's no response to text messages.. We arrived one hour and 45 minutes early for this reason! After two hours of trying to locate the meeting place in the rain and connecting to the tour company, we gave up and return to our hotel.

  We did not receive the tour I purchased. I paid for arenas floor access but was given a ticket that restricted that access. No one was helpful in resolving the issue onsite. No one has replied to my multiple messages. A well planned tour, purchased in advanced was severely damaged. I do not recommend this provider if they are willing to sell one tour then provide a lesser one with no recourse.

  Do not waste your money on this tour. I have used Viator for tours all over the world and always been really happy with them. However, this was awful. You had to download your audio guide, which everybody was having trouble doing and then once you had that done you did not have anybody taking you around to show you what path to take. Once you got in, you had no idea where to go or what you were looking at. A total waste of money. You would be much better off to go there on your own, purchase a ticket and pick up a local local guide to walk you through. I would give this a rating of a minus one star if possible.

  We bought a tour to the Coliseum and the Roman Forum for four people through the Get Your Guide platform, operated by Show Me Italy. The package included a guide in Portuguese and had a higher value just for relying on this service. When we arrived at the meeting point, we were informed by the guide JAMILE, who speaks Portuguese, that it would not be possible to carry out the guide service inside the Coliseum. Although this has already been a disappointment, the main problem happened at the entrance, after facing a long queue. When the tickets were checked, we found that they had been issued on the wrong date. Our visit was scheduled for the correct day of the reservation, but the tickets showed a different date, which resulted in our entry being denied. The guide made some calls trying to contact the company responsible for issuing the tickets, but was unable to resolve the situation. What disappointed us most, however, was the lack of support and empathy in the face of the problem. We asked her to accompany us to the company to seek a solution or guidance on the refund, but she refused. Then he suggested that we buy new tickets with our own money to enter the Coliseum, even though we have already paid in full for the tour. When we explained that we did not consider it fair to bear again a cost caused by an organization error, the guide's stance became defensive. At various times she sought to relieve itself of any responsibility, attributing all the blame to third parties. We understand that the issuance of tickets may not have been made directly by it, but we believe that a responsible guide should check in advance whether all the documentation of the group is correct before the start of the activity. The situation got worse when we tried to discuss a solution. Instead of seeking to calm the customers or show understanding for the frustration of a family who had planned and paid in advance for the tour, the guide began to act aggressively, raising the tone of voice and reaching to claim that he would call the police for believing, without reason, that was being filmed. After the event, we were informed that we would receive the full refund of the tour in up to 5 business days. However, this deadline has already been exceeded and, to date, the refund has not been made. In addition to not being able to participate in the contracted activity due to an error in issuing the tickets, we continue to wait for the refund of the paid amount, which demonstrates another failure in the service and resolution of the problem. It was an extremely frustrating experience. During our entire trip, we had great experiences, but this episode marked negatively our visit to Rome. The error on the tickets would have been serious enough; however, the lack of assistance, empathy, professionalism and the fact that the promised refund has not yet been made turned an operational problem into an even more unpleasant experience. We expect the company to review its internal procedures, both in the ticket conference and in the training and service to customers in crisis situations, in addition to complying with the commitments and repayment deadlines informed to customers.

  Well organised,great tour guide,he was very informative,we had times to use the toilet as well as refill our water bottles. We arrived on time for our Colosseum slot and went straight in,the only disappointment was the Colosseum wasn’t guided like the ticket stated.

  This excursion was canceled by Viator without prior notice to start time. We were there 30 minutes prior to tour start time and checked in but no warning that tour was canceled. We asked what the delayed was but were assured everything was okay and just a little delayed. We waited for over an hour before someone came and told us it was canceled. Waiting for a refund for 8 people.

  I bought tickets for Coliseu Arena Floor Forum Romano and Palatine for May 14, 2026, but the day with the meeting with the guia, we were informed that the activity would be partial, we would not have access to the coliseu arena floor. It opted for partial activity with a refund of 30 % or withdrawal from all activity with a full refund. We chose to give up all activity and for the full refund, but there was a refund of only 30% of the amount I paid which was € 260. Company. Show me itaty-operated by viator (I bought the tickets by booking operator). Careful!
