Our special access tour will let you enter the Colosseum through the 'Gate of Life' walking directly onto the arena floor, just as the gladiators did centuries ago. Once inside, feel the sand under your feet, experience the grandeur of the arena from a gladiator’s perspective and get an up-close view of the underground. Your expert tour guide will bring to life the exciting and shocking events that took place where you now stand, as you wander through arches and climb ancient stone steps, in this magnificent amphitheater.

Tours will run rain or shine (unless the monument is closed by the officials for safety reasons)
There are mandatory security checks at all entry points to the sites. The wait time for the security check can be considerable during peak times/seasons and has nothing to do with the ticket line
Toilets are limited, use the toilet before arriving for the tour. (Breaks made when possible)
No weapons (pocket knives), glass bottles or large backpacks
Refunds will not be provided for no-shows or late arrivals. If you are late to the meeting point, you will not be able to join your tour.
Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
The itinerary may vary, the tour may start at either the Colosseum or the Roman Forum.

1.00I got there and they refused my entry. Apparently my booking had one name with 2 adults noted. Because they did not include both names I was refused access. Terrible experience

1.00We booked our tour for 11am. Went to the Check in spot at 10:45 and was told we could go straight to the queue for the Colesseum. After waiting in line for nearly 30 minutes we were turned away because the tickets provided by the tour group was for 1pm, not for 11am as we had booked. We messaged the tour provider and received NO message back or call back. Unacceptable

1.00This was a horrible and frustrating experience from start to finish. We booked an 8am tour and it was changed twice within 36-hours of the actual excursion. First they changed us to 9:30 then 10:45. When we arrived, the registration experience was chaos with hundreds of people arriving at the same time and total disorganization. We started 45-minutes late. The guide was not good. She’s probably a very nice person, but she was a horrible guide. She was difficult to understand and spoke very fast. We initially had about 20 people in our group and by the time the tour ended, there were only 8 left. The guests just kept dropping out and walking away because they preferred to do it on their own. Finally, like many others, our tour was supposed to include the Colosseum floor and a guide through the Colosseum. That’s what we paid for, but we received neither. We were told it’s because they no longer allow guided tours inside, but that was not true. I would not recommend anyone pay for this experience.

1.00I didn't receive my tickets electronically. I had to wait over 45 minutes for the staff to print them manually so we missed our start time. We had to speak with the manager to let us in since it was well past our start time.
Careful with the booking of Colosseum guided tours, and always verify what you think you purchased.

1.00Booked this ticket months in advance just to have the tour operator, Show Me Italy, send an email 5 days after the cancelation deadline that they would not be honoring the original terms of the purchase and not be able to provide a tour guide for the inside of the Colosseum. At the very least they could have offered to refund the money or offered a more significant discount amount (They offered 20% but no 100% money back cancelation). They were fairly unresponsive to follow-up communication and had to contact the booking company to get the issue resolved. Thank you TripAdvisor/Aviator for addressing this issue in a timely fashion. I would highly suggest to book directly with the venue or with an accredited partner company that has been approved to provide guided tours in this venue. If you choose a third-party tour operator, explicitly contact them to verify that they are an officially accredited partner of the Parco Colosseo.

1.00I paid and received confirmation for the Colosseum floor and audio tour at 15:30pm the day of my trip. What I received were tickets for general admission access to the Colosseum with a 17:30 time. No one at Viator nor the third party tour company would respond to my repeated inquiries about the ticketing mistake. Beware when purchasing through Viator, they ignore you if there are problems with the tours they advertise.
Alot of frustration with only vaucher...ruined the experience at colloseum.

1.00Tripadvisor scam us with third partiets ticket, viator.com. We and others had problems with no valid ticket and did not come inside colloseum. No information from show me italy at the eeting points. Just buy tickets at the colloseum, its better and valid.
