Overall, a great tour. It encompass a lot of information about the Colosseum, and the arena four was definitely worth it. Our guide, Eugene, was very flexible with bathroom brakes and adapted well to his not being provided a headset. He was very friendly and answered all of our questions well. I rated 4 stars because the tour was long, almost too long, and at times I had trouble understanding the audio narration. The company should increase the quality of their audio equipment.

Unfortunately I definitely cannot recommend the audio guide tour of Colosseum, Palantine Hill, and Roman Forum. We were told to meet at a specific way point 15 minutes ahead of schedule (i.e., meet at 815 for 830 ticket). We arrived on time and then were told to sit by idly while waiting for instructions on the audio guide, as almost everyone meeting was going in a guided tour. We received a frantic call at 8:31am (while standing near check in) being told we were at risk of missing our entrance to Colosseum and needed to go straight there. I only right then received instructions via Whatsapp (which were intended to be sent 1-2 days prior) that we should disregard the early meeting waypoint and instead go straight to the Colosseum entrance. We wasted time and ended up frazzled to start. The audioguide was then delivered to after we had already entered and had already seen a number of attractions. The audioguide is clearly not up to date given various construction projects, so following the "directions" in the audioguide would lead to several dead ends, particularly in the Roman Forum. I inquired why we were not provided appropriate meeting instructions with the team and they said "must be an issue with Whatsapp or email" -- which is amazing because all of the other half dozen tours we took while in Italy had no issue getting in touch well in advance of the tour. Cannot recommend and wish we had selected a different operator.

We booked a 10.30 slot to visit the colosseum but when the tickets were issued a few days before our scheduled date they were for a later time. They told me they couldn’t change them as they were sold out. They explained it’s a tour and you end up at the colosseum at a later time - that is not what we wanted or booked. The audio guide and instructions are very confusing. There is no signage within the tour to explain where on the tour you are so the commentary didn’t make any sense. Very badly organised. I strongly you suggest you booked with another company as this was a terrible experience. 3 of the 6 of us couldn’t even access the audio. (You need make sure you have your own earphones as the guide has to be downloaded to your phone). As mentioned the download failed so a pointless experience

Experience reserved for 9:30 am... Coliseum tickets are only for 1:00 pm. We had organized because we have small children. Organization that leaves something to be desired. No information on the change of schedule that would have allowed us to cancel the reservation... now it’s too late.

Nothing clear in this application, it is not clear at what time you can visit the Roman forums and the Colosseum, in our case we only knew from the operator at 15 that we had to visit first Roman forums and then the Colosseum (from 16 hours) so for the holes visited in the middle, we would need more clarity on schedules and development of the day! Would not recommend

Our guide, Ilaria Croce is the one who made the experience informative, organized and fun. She enjoys her job and sincerely shared Italy’s history & culture through the Collisseum with our group.

We had a difficult time finding the correct entrance point for our tickets. Once we were inside the park area and the coloseum the experience was good. The information on the audio was interesting. Be sure to download the audio before the tour while in a wi-fi spot. Depending on your cellphone plan, it could charge you to download. I would prefer the option of using returnable headsets, though. The coloseum turned out to be the perfect place for our daughter’s boyfriend to propose to her! The crowd erupted in applause, when they realized.

Do not use the company. We booked a tour through Viator and were not allowed on the Colloseum floor because of illegal ticketing. Yes, you read that correctly. Apparently, tours need to register as a group and buy tickets as a group. They have been aware of this for months and according to security at the colloseum, have been purposely avoiding the rules /!: buying individual tickets and not registering as a group and pocketing the difference. They have had multiple warnings and security is fed up and not allowing them to run this scam anymore. So we and our entire group had our tickets canceled. The poor tour guide had no idea and also lost money I’m sure. Viator also had no idea until I called and she couldn’t believe it. She kept saying what do you mean the tickets are illegal?? This group has been running a known scam for at least months (and probably years) on unsuspecting tourists and companies like Viator. Many people will never be able to see this place again..and couldn’t go in with a ticket they booked. I can’t stress enough that the security guards at the colloseum said they have been warning this group about this activity for months and asking them to stop and they are still selling invalid/illegal tickets to people. It’s unreal and they need to shut down.
