5.00Our guide was great and very attentive to our needs. She had a PhD in Archeology. . However Tour Guy booked 12 people while it promoted ten max. Also given three start times in messages in the 24 hours before the tour which spanned over 75 minites for our mush arrive by time.

5.00This is a very complete tour, provided by a knowledgeable guide who can answer almost any question you may have. While all visitors to the Colosseum can see the arena floor, I thought it was worth the $ to actually experience the sensation of standing in that place! And while there are other tour options, I was very impressed with the small tour group and really knowledgeable guide. Going in June, we knew it'd likely be hot -- and it was! It's also three hours of walking, with a lot of up and down hills and stairs. By the end of the tour, we'd lost half our group -- especially those with kids. Unless your kids are really interested in history, probably not the ideal choice for them. Also note that it can be a bit tricky to find your meeting place -- there is no specific signage for the location provided, so probably best to just ask other tour guides. They all know each other!

5.00I was fortunate to have Christiana Ventura a PhD archeologist as the tour guide. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of everything we saw, she got us into areas not normally accessible to the public. I strongly recommend Christiana as a superb tour guide.

5.00This tour was hands-down one of the best experiences of our trip. Our guide, Eleonora, was phenomenal, professionally knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Roman history. She struck the perfect balance of being informative and engaging. She made sure to answer questions and highlight aspects that people in our group found interesting. She brought the ruins to life, helping us imagine what the Forum and Colosseum would have looked like in their prime. It made the history feel vivid and real, rather than just a collection of stones. The tour was well-paced, professional, and well-organized. If you’re visiting Rome and want an insightful, memorable experience, this tour, and Eleonora in particular, is a must. Highly recommended.

5.00It's hard to be a guide making the same tour almost every day with new people. Daniele our guide showed how to do it, with a calm, patient and easy going way mixed with a good sense of humour. Clear information was given at the right times, the pace of the tour is well worked out, and while there's no chance to grab a coffee or a snack at any point, there is a toilet break at least half way through. The tour itself is magical of course, although while I expected to be more amazed by the colosseum, I found that my favourite part by far was the view from Palatine Hill over the ruins of the forum, with the main city on the horizon. There's no place like it on earth. Incredible.

5.00I previously worked in tourism and can honestly say this tour was not only excellent for all ages but was conducted by the best tour guide I have ever come across. Eddy was extremely knowledgeable and presented this in a highly entertaining, but professional & memorable way for young and old alike. We absolutely loved his (dry) sense of humour and my 9 yr old grandson fully absorbed the information given. Eddy didn't offer the standard, monotonous spiel so many other guides were overheard giving. He brought to life the tremendous history of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. The Tour Guy/The Roman Guy as a company was a pleasure to deal with and, if Eddy is typical of their calibre of tour guide, they will be my first choice every time.

5.00We booked this through 'The Tour Guy' which seems to be an associated company to The Roman Guy. Upon being introduced to our guide Gabriel, we knew we were in for a great tour. He was enthuisiastic & humourous right from the start, We learnt a lot about the Colosseum & the Forum from his descriptions from history, and from his folder of images showing how things used to look like. It felt personal with there being less than 10 of us, and didn't feel rushed. Gabriel even took pictures for us which was very kind. A very knowledgable and enthuisiastic guy, who loves his 'Dad Jokes' 🙂 Don't hestitate booking this.
