Extremely Disappointing Experience – Ruined Long-Planned Visit We booked the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill tour through Viator with confirmed tickets and were extremely excited for this experience, as we had been planning it for over 8 months with our two children, who were especially looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the experience was very poorly managed. There was a complete lack of clear communication from Viator and the local tour operator (Carpe Diem). We were not properly informed about key details, and coordination between Viator and the local company was confusing and unreliable. As a result, our tour was mishandled and we ultimately missed the experience entirely. This was incredibly disappointing, especially considering how much time and anticipation had gone into planning this part of our trip. For a major historical site like the Colosseum, we expected a much higher level of organization and communication. Instead, the lack of coordination completely ruined what was supposed to be a highlight of our visit to Rome. We hope this feedback is taken seriously so other families do not go through the same experience.
