During the tour enjoy 6 wine tastings while admiring the astonishing landscapes and serenity of the Douro Valley, recognized as World Heritage Site by UNESCO, since 2001.

The guided visit to 2 different wine estates with tastings, a complete traditional lunch with Douro wines and a scenic 50 minutes cruise on the Douro River is included on this full package.

Overall we had a great time. What you need to know: These are large tour groups. Arrive 10-15 mins early to check in and get told which bus number because there are several. The guide you are assigned should be holding a sign with the bus number (ours did NOT). Do not sit on the back row of the bus if you can choose. Bumpy roads on busses are not fun. Each bus holds about 30 ppl. The first stop you can get a coffee/pastry since you will not eat until around 2pm. Long drive (and someone on our wine tour brought their children)…. So, prepare for any challenges, weather, cultures, and have fun getting to know others on your tour and learn about wine! Cheers!

We had an amazing tour of the Douro Valley. We got to see wineries, do port tastings in an old cellar, take a relaxing and beautiful boat ride up the river. A really complete way to see a lot in a single day trip. Our tour guide, Tommy, was wonderful explaining everything we saw.
