An excellent and unique cooking experience with Suranga

5.00I had already experienced Suranga's cuisine in the hotel where he works and it was outstanding so I asked if he did cooking courses which I duly booked. He collected me at the hotel then we went to the local markets to select the produce then we headed back to his kitchen. His family were lovely and friendly and we prepared and cooked fantasic food for next hour and then we ate together in Surangas' very picturesque garden. This was the highlight of my Sri Lankan trip and probably one of the best cooking courses I have done. Suranga keeps in touch and occasionally sends me recipes. Highly recommended

5.00We did Suranga's cooking course based on a recommendation that we received and it was easily one of the best, and most unique, activities we did during our time in Sri Lanka. The course is at his house and Suranga and his family are so welcoming and hospitable. We learned so much about local ingredients and cooking methods and ended the class with a delicious meal. If you're in the Thalpe area I'd highly recommend contacting Suranga.
