Our guide Will was friendly and knowledgeable and led us around the streets of Copenhagen stopping at various places to sample a variety of local delights such as open sandwiches, hot dogs, meat balls, chocolates and pastries and a couple of the local tipples. The tour was made that little bit more enjoyable by the pleasant and friendly people also on the tour. We enjoyed some of the food so much that we went back the next day to try it again. Definitely a tour well worth doing.

William was our guide and he was great and quite entertaining which otherwise will make the tour a bit boring. Enjoyed the tour tremendously and all the tastings were good and yummy. Was surprised drinks are included for some of the tasting stops which were great! Highly recommend to do this tour on day 2 of your arrival in Copenhagen so that you can return to explore the food hall or markets.

Was very cool to hear about everything. Very friendly tour guide. Information was local for the most part and had things I wouldn't find online. Loved the food options and the staff in all the places I went to.

The food experience was good overall. The marker was very good and our guide explained the different Smorrebrod We then had pork belly with meatballs before going to the pub to try beer, street food and then to a chocolate shop. We finally ended the trip with Danish pastries. The guide was very informative and she answered all our questions including insights into Danish society.

Excellent tour with MM! Loved every stop, food was fantastic and MM was very knowledgeable and friendly. We’ve done several secret food tours, and they are always a great time and good value.

TLDR: Save your money and just go buy your own food! Unacceptable for a tour company to charge this much and have this kind of subpar experience. Participated in the 12/29 secret food tour. Was very eager given our love for Danish cuisine and positive reviews on tbe website. However, this tour was a HUGE disappointment leaving a really bad impression of Secret Tours & Viator upon us. Tour guide ran late and did not have a clear marker as stated on the description (no orange umbrella present). We waited with participants a few minutes after the hour until the guide finally showed up - Not a good start. The guide did not apologize for being late, and was even defensive about it when asked. There was no discussion of the cultural significance or history of the different foods. From there, the experience continued to decline. We were not able to find seats for the entire group at different locations, making it really awkward for us to proactively make connections and chat. We also waited a long time for service at the different stops and the tour ran over by ~30 min. Some of the vendors were not even nice to our guide!!! We probably spent more than 30 minutes just waiting for our guide to stand in line and order the food. Of significance, the service of food when it came to sharing the pork dishes and pastries were highly unsanitary. There should be a group serving utensil to portion out dishes vs. everyone just picking from the same bowl or plate (yuck!) There was also inclusion of an indoor smoking bar which was really irritating as a non-smoker (while I understand this to be a cultural custom, this stop should be made VERY clear at the time of booking). The final stop at the bakery was a total let-down as we didn’t receive a fair share of food. Overall, what we hoped to have been a highlight of our trip to Copenhagen ended up being a really low point as the tour was so poorly executed. I would not recommend this tour in the future and hope that some improvements are made for future participants. Good luck!
