Coronado Island in Loreto Baja California Sur, Mexico is home to great snorkel spots, white sand beaches, and a sea lion colony. It’s the most visited due to its close proximity to Loreto. COME AND JOIN US with a professional guide who knows the history and wildlife! A paradise for snorkelers, the turquoise waters around the island offer outstanding visibility, especially for those wishing to explore the sea bottom. The island itself is covered with rocky crags, except for the southeast corner, and becomes a marine turtle sanctuary at certain times of the year when the females come to the beaches to lay their eggs. If you prefer to stroll around the island instead of relaxing under a beach “palapa,” you can find numerous examples of local animals and plants. Our three-hour adventure doesn’t just go to the beach like most local boats. We take you for a lap around the island to see all the wildlife and the sea lion colony and then spend time on the beach to snorkel and sunbath. Snorkel gear, a picnic sandwich lunch on the beach, and refreshments of beer, soda, and water are all included. The mandatory park bracelet is paid before boarding and supports the National Park

Snorkeling tour and guide were fine. Not exceptional…just okay. Wild Loreto will make every effort to make additional money whether through exchanges rates or extra charges that are not advertised or called out during the booking. I would recommend staying away from this company. Unfortunately I booked two different tours with them. I wanted to give them a benefit of a doubt. Similar situation with the second tour.

Wonderful experience start to finish, from the air conditioned van that picked us up at our hotel to the amazing captain Carlos who really outdid himself making sure we all had the best time. Lifetime memory making with my 6 yo!

Our experience with wild tour was magnificent, from the initial attention with Jared, to the services of Captain Argenis, very friendly, hygienic, respect for nature, comfort since they took us the beach kit, the truth is that other tourists envied us, they thought we were carrying everything, and really they provided us in detail the tools that are required for an amazing day at the beach. I emphasize that the wild tour team loves their land, takes care of it and allows everyone to enjoy, their idea is to take care of the islands so they can continue with responsible tourism.

They provided excellent service. We were picked up at the airport by them in a private van to take us to our resort. The driver was friendly. Also used them for the way back to the airport. Driver was also friendly. We did book the Coronado Island tour with them and it was AMAZING!!! The captain of the boat was very friendly, knowledgeable and we got to to see a whale and dolphins along the way to Coronado Island. He brought us plenty of food and drinks for us to eat at Coronado Island. My kids has a great time at the beach at Coronado Island. Couldn't ask for better service. Will definitely book with them again and would want the same captain again.

We had an EXCELLENT experience. Manuel was a friendly and kind driver who picked us up on both ends on time. Chris was a friendly and wonderful captain. We saw a BLUE WHALE and TWO awesome and active pods of dolphins, as well as sea lions and pelicans. Our boat was an awesome newer boat. The music was fun and the beaches, snorkeling, and lunch were perfect. We feel happy and had the best day. What a great price, only $80, for the best day! Thank you, Wild Loreto.

I realize activities are just opening up again so taking that into consideration I was disappointed. Transportation to and from VDP was excellent. Our captain was good but spoke limited English. I see from reading that most tours have an assistant, ours didn’t but it was just the two of us. The boat was a huge disappointment. There must have been a fuel leak because the smell of fuel was horribly strong and was as making us ill. When we got to Coronado we couldn’t walk on the beach because of COVID. Ok, but it would have been nice to know in advance. We snorkeled and that was great but then it came time to get back in the boat that was difficult. The ladder they had was a homemade ladder that was horrible. It was very narrow, the rungs were round so it was hard to stand on and the worst part was there were no things on the end that made it stand out from the side of the boat. When you are trying to climb up a ladder on the side of a panga that isn’t very vertical and there is nothing to grab onto but the gunnel it isn’t easy for many. I couldn’t get up. The captain had to put the boat sideways to the beach in order for me to get on. I suggested I step on the cooler, as I had done on previous tours, but I don’t think think the captain understood. When we left that beach and went to the next we saw that none of the boats were beaching so I knew I wouldn’t be able to get back on the boat if I got off to snorkel again. So...we had the captain take us back. The captain was worried he had done something wrong. That wasn’t the case. Honestly the boat was the problem. I’ve been on many tours by boat in the Loreto area so I know what to expect. This boat was sub-par.

We had a wonderful experience with the guide Mario Perez who gave us all the necessary information through Facebook, made us a discount in addition to going in person to pick us up at the airport with the Service that wild Loreto offers on its website. The tour for us was VIP level, we were picked up to the place where we stayed took us to the bay where Mario was waiting for us taking all the necessary security measures, took us to Coronado Island. If you enjoy programs like National Geo or marine life in places like SeaWorld you will love this walk as much as we do, expert guide Mario strives to make your walk enjoyable and focuses on what you want to see. It also took us to know the island and snorkel, the marine fauna there is impressive, we could see a needlefish, a moray eel, a boat or popper fish and several more, some very large. Tired of swimming we returned to the boat and ate a rich sandwich, an energy bar some potatoes with the option of drinking water, soda or beer, it was comforting to eat while watching the dolphins and sea lions, the back of the island is also very interesting, it has blue-footed birds, silly birds something like that. Anyway we already want to return is worth every Penny, I definitely recommend it and we will visit the other islands again. Thank you Mario Perez for his enthusiasm and hospitality and to the whole team, the kind Miss Norma from his office and the shuttle driver who kindly answered all our questions.

My husband and I had a fantastic tour to Coronado island with a terrific tour guide named Chalio. He was a local of Loreto who had wonderful enthusiasm for the National Marine Park in his home town. I told him I wanted to see wild life, hike and in particular the blue footed booby. He delivered on all. We saw flocks of blue footed boobies on incredible rock formations that were spectacular. We raced with a school of dolphins and watched the sea lions basking on the incredible rock formations. We had a lovely hike on a well marked trail that could view the vistas of the mountains, desert sea and sea. The tour was excellent and Chalio was terrific. We decided to take the Coronado Island tour because we took the whale watching tour with Chalio two days before in Lopez Mateos. We saw lots of whales and Chalio was so considerate, caring, knowledgeable and just a great guy. Because of him we would not want to go on or recommend any other tour company other than Wild Loreto.
