I enjoyed the tour with a small group, nice A/C van, and great tour guide. Didn’t waste time with a large group getting in and off bus. Delivered us back to port entrance.

After multiple excursions, my family finally found one that was all around amazing. Like alot of reviews on here, Octavio was our tour guide. He did an excellent job explaining all the history to us. I was watching the ship ran tour groups and felt we were getting alot more info. Lucky for my family of 4, the other family cancelled and we got private tour of the ruins. We never felt rushed, we got to explore by ourselves when we wanted, and Octavio helped us take family photos. After having 2 shore excursions where we were begged for tips, and had mediocre experiences at best, this shore excursion was a breath of fresh air. My children even stated they loved this excursion the most, over ziplining and ATV riding, that says it all. I cant stress enough how amazing our guide Octavio was. If I ever return, I would use Costa Maya Expereinces company again.

We had a great time! Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and history. We even got to sample some local pineapple! Would definitely recommend.

Interesting destination but tour guide's English was not so great (spoke quite fast and mumbled a lot) and his explanations about Mayan culture were questionable.

We booked through Princess Cruises shore excursions. About a 45 minutes one way bus ride to get to the site, well worth the time. Our guide was native Mayan he said, told us about the language and history of the site, he was very knowledgeable. We climbed up the ruins where we were allowed to do so, and respected the rope barrier where we were not to go. We would do one of these again if we come back to this port.

Octavia our tour guide was fantastic! He spoke English and was very informative! We had a wonderful day! Learned so much about the Mayan people and had plenty of time to explore! We were offered water before the trip and during! CM tours was great!

We had a great day visiting the Mayan temples. We had a small group and a private tour guide, Ismael. By comparison to the cruise ship excursions groups of 50 or more, I much preferred this small group. Highly recommend you go off-ship and book with Viator.

We were EXTREMELY fortunate to have Ismael as our guide from the Costa Maya tour operator. Being a local farmer from the village, he was unbelievable in sharing his knowledge and made the experience so enjoyable! HIGHLY recommend!
