Enjoy the genuine Austrian countryside experience in our small group wine tours near Vienna, in Weinviertel Wine Region. During the 4 hour (Morning Tour with Lunch) or 5 hour tour (Afternoon tour with Dinner) we give you an insider’s look at country living and wine making. Come with us, visit the wine cellars, meet with the local farmers and winemakers and enjoy the ambiance of nature over a glass of quality wine. You will taste 8-12 glasses of wine during the tour and your experience is completed with a traditional Austrian Lunch or Dinner.

What To Expect
Vienna
The tour starts with pick-up from your Vienna hotel.
Our driver-guide will take you to Weinviertel Wine Region, which is the largest wine growing area of Austria, located about 30min from Vienna. Most famous grape varieties are the Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling & Zweigelt, which you will taste during the tour. During the short ride through the scenic hills of the region you will learn about the region and the people here. At the wineries you will meet with the local winemakers who will present their wines, their cellars and their story to you. In the small groups we have a friendly mood and very cosy atmosphere. During the tour you will taste 10-12 glasses of quality wine at three different winery, and your journey is completed with a traditional Austrian dinner at the third location.

3.00The two stops on the tour were really great but the tour was too rushed. I felt like we could not relax and enjoy where we were because we were urged to get moving to the next destination. I did not feel like I got my money's worth at all.

5.00We had absolutely great international group in this trip. Our guide&driver Martin was so great and he took very good care of us. He made our day so special. We had two different tasting session. The first one included some information about wine making. We had traditional two course lunch during the second tasting. I can highly recommend this trip for everyone.

5.00The tour was very nice the tour guide was new to the job, but did a great job telling us about Austrian wine. His driving was very safe. The two picturesque wineries we visited both had excellent wines to pour for us. Gruner Veltliner is the star of the show. We had a great lunch at the second winery with which we had paired wines. Both wineries had a Cabernet Sauvignon blend which were surprisingly good. Finally, the people taking the tour with us were very friendly and fun to be with.

5.00We enjoyed this tour. It was short at only 1/2 day and two tastings but we knew that when we booked it. There is only one actual vineyard that is visited for a tasting. The second location is the restaurant but a full tasting in the cellar with wines from the owner does take place. Great option if you are short on time though a full day tour would have been even better.
