Discover Armenia’s ancient stone-carving traditions with a hands-on experience at Stone Art Guest House & Camping. Your visit will begin with an introduction to Pemzashen’s famed tufa stone, which comes in 48 unique shades and has been used in Armenian architecture for centuries. Under the guidance of skilled local artisans, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind candleholder using local clay. Before firing, you’ll decorate it with small pieces of colorful tufa stone, adding a personal touch to your design. The workshop is designed for all skill levels, allowing you to explore Armenian craftsmanship in a relaxed, creative setting. Once completed, your handmade candleholder will be fired in the kiln, and you’ll take home a unique piece of Armenian stone art as a lasting memory of your experience.
