A very well furnished castle. You can easily walk around as the tour progresses. Small advice: arrive at the opening , from 10am. While waiting for the opening, we visited the park nearby: very nice. (interior photos prohibited)

We had an amazing experience. First of all, they were so understanding when we wanted to adjust the start time at the last minute. Out tour guide Ray was a great story teller, and gave us and our two kids a wonderful G rated intro to the history of Scotland. Since we started late and it was raining, we skipped St Andrews. Scone Palace was nice, and Glamis Castle was even better. Recommended for families.

Beautiful palace. A must see. Staff was very knowledgeable. Grounds were well kept and gorgeous. Peacocks were amazing. Gluten free scones were absolutely delicious.
