Terrible experience: the morning tour was, first, moved to afternoon one and eventually cancelled due to weather conditions. Lost many hours of my life - travelling and then waiting for decisions. And I wouldn't mind - weather in Iceland can be tricky. But troll.is charges me 3% anyways - even if they cancel the trip. We've had a group of 7 + the trip is rather expensive. This makes a significant cost which I find clearly unfair and poorly justified.

Pick up was seamless, our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and showed great hospitality. He was very warm and had a great sense of humor. We had a medium sized group of different nationalities in a good sized Ford super van. They give you the appropriate equipment to be able to walk on the ice with no issues. We had a great time going to the cave and took lots of wonderful photos. This was certainly one of our big adventures as a couple and had a great experience. We even got a sneak chance to walk on the mossy ground as a quick photo opportunity while our tires were inflating. Overall would highly recommend this experience to anyone. The caves and the landscape change every single day and season and you will never get the same experience twice.

We signed up for the Crystal Blue Ice Cave tour. Once we finally found were to check in (there are 0 Tröll signs or vehicles) we packed 14 people in a super Jeep cargo van. Then were informed that, oh we are going to a black cave. There is no blue crystal cave. Ummm WHAT. We could have tried to exited and not gone but sounded like the tour guide was pulling our strings. What sort of company advertises for Blue blue blue ice caves and when show up it’s black and covered in ash and clay. So we go and 30 minutes and the roughest ride ever we get to the spot. Then have to walk 1 mile over rough rocks and ice. There’s a ton of groups and the cave is dark and black. Huge disappointment. Had to walk a mile back to the car. Your guide was great and friendly. If it’s bad time of year for blue ice, make it known to the customers way advance. This is way too expensive to be a black dirty cave tour.

It was a very adventurous trip. We traveled on a very bumpy road in a large jeep for about 40 minutes to get to the cave , then we hiked up for about 30 minutes to get to the cave entrance . We explored the amazing dark colorful ice cave for about one hour hiking on a rocky path sometimes steep . There were many tour groups but our guide was great. He made sure we were all safe and together and took our group pictures. He was very knowledgeable and funny. You need to be able to endure the darkness and in shape to hike the steep path and to keep up with the group. It was a very adventurous tour and we loved it.

this is absolutely amazing! we went to the sparkle cave and our tour guide Angelica was a wealth of knowledge! I highly recommend this tour. Also, the location you meet the tour is next to the glacier lagoon and diamond beach which are breathtaking.
