We had a great time on our tour! Although it was overcast and difficult to clearly see in the bay water, our tour guide, Crosby, made sure to keep a constant eye out for manatees to make sure we all got the full experience, and success! We did see a few! We did not see any while in the spring area, to no fault of our tour guide of course. But the crystal clear springs were still amazing to see. Crosby was super nice and knowledgeable of the wildlife. Definitely recommend the tour.

Crosby was a great guide and we had a wonderful time!! We hit a windy day, so our water was a little hard to see through the clear waters, but Crosby found our Manatees for us. Would take the tour again with him!!

At the end of October we enjoyed a beautiful couple of hours kayaking on the Crystal River. Parking $5 and washrooms to change are located at the launch point. Comfortable seats for the kayak are provided, as well as life jackets and small wet bag. Bring suntan lotion, water and wear a hat and swim stuff. Since we were the only people who showed up for the tour Crosby, our guide was very accommodating to our requests and we appreciated that. Even thought the chance to see a manatee at this time of the year is slim, since they are just starting to move up the coast Crosby our guide found us two. They are huge friendly animals which supposedly can swim as fast as a dolphin if they need to get away from you.. On the way to the springs Crosby rescued a mullet, local fish, who had been caught on a lire. You can tell Crosby loves his job, sharing his knowledge about flora and fauna and the various animals we noticed: Pelicans, Herons, ospreys, egrets and lots of turtles. The finale: our swim in the crystal clear water of the springs was refreshing and memorable.
