Cu Chi Tunnels
We depart Ho Chi Chi Minh City in the morning to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, known for its role in the anti-American resistance during the Vietnam War and now seen as a symbol of heroism. With over 220 km of underground tunnels, it's a popular tourist attraction for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors. The scenic route from Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi passes through the local countryside, offering sights such as ducks and buffalo along the river. Despite its tranquil appearance today, it's hard to imagine the destruction caused by bombing and mines in the past, when Cu Chi was designated as a "free target zone."
My Tho
After investigating the tunnels, we'll head to My Tho, a province in the Mekong Delta region. We'll embark on a boat ride along the upper Mekong and witness the Four Animal Islands named after creatures in Buddhist lore: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this portion of the tour, you'll get a glimpse of local Vietnamese life and how it is tied to the river. Later, we'll take you on a rowboat excursion through the narrow waterways, showcasing the fertile agriculture of the delta with its fruit orchards, coconut plantations, and beekeeping farms. During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to taste honey tea, seasonal fruits, fresh coconut candy, and enjoy southern Vietnamese folk music. Finally, we'll return to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel around 6:30 PM.

We had a great day out with Captain Bruno leading the way. Despite the long drives in between stops he was great with our kids and also teaching us about the culture and locations we were visiting. The Cu Chi tunnels are an eye opener, worth the trip just for that. And the lunch provided is also very generous. The children enjoyed the Mekong Delta and the boat ride. The day started to drag at the coconut shop and the locals singing to us. By that point we were happy to start heading back home. But otherwise we had a great time and made lots of new memories and a new friend. Also, we had booked the VIP van, and as we were 2 families together, we had a very comfy ride.

Toan was amazing! He was knowledgeable, entertaining, factual and kept us informed of everything, despite the heat! We have many videos and pictures of our day. The day was full of variety, interesting historical info, and we visited places, that you would never think to go see otherwise. He fitted so much into one day and he kept us on time for everything. From start to finish, the energy was there. We all slept well on the bus, comfortable, air conditioned. Expect long drives in bus / luxury van - but it is all worth it for a magical memory. Toan you are brilliant, keep up all the great work for giving people a memory that will last a lifetime. Thank you from Lisa and Tim x

We had an amazing experience visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong River with our guide Kevin. He was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor, which made the whole day even more enjoyable. Kevin explained so much about the war, local history, and Vietnamese culture in a very interesting and easy-to-understand way. We also loved the stops along the way, especially seeing how coconut candy is made, tasting fresh fruit from local residents while listening to traditional music, and riding in a small boat through the river. Everything was well organized, informative, and fun. Kevin made sure everyone felt comfortable and engaged throughout the tour. We learned a lot and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this experience and Kevin as a guide!

Xem is awesome and very energetic. Highly recommend him as a tuor guide. However, the music with tea close to the end should be removed since most foreigners don't know Vietnamese and the pressure to tip with the baskets must be eliminated.

The experience was great with many activities packed in a comfortable schedule. A lot of time was spent on the road, but fortunately the bus was comfy with individual reclining seats. Our guide Kevin was knowledgeable and funny! Thanks for pulling me out of the hole 😄He gave a sombre but solid introduction to the resistance war, which provided a good context for the cu chi tunnels. One thing that felt slightly distasteful was when the music performers put a tip basket on our table at the end of the performance, which felt pressurising at the moment.
