Cu Chi Tunnels
We depart Ho Chi Chi Minh City in the morning to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, known for its role in the anti-American resistance during the Vietnam War and now seen as a symbol of heroism. With over 220 km of underground tunnels, it's a popular tourist attraction for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors. The scenic route from Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi passes through the local countryside, offering sights such as ducks and buffalo along the river. Despite its tranquil appearance today, it's hard to imagine the destruction caused by bombing and mines in the past, when Cu Chi was designated as a "free target zone."
My Tho
After investigating the tunnels, we'll head to My Tho, a province in the Mekong Delta region. We'll embark on a boat ride along the upper Mekong and witness the Four Animal Islands named after creatures in Buddhist lore: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this portion of the tour, you'll get a glimpse of local Vietnamese life and how it is tied to the river. Later, we'll take you on a rowboat excursion through the narrow waterways, showcasing the fertile agriculture of the delta with its fruit orchards, coconut plantations, and beekeeping farms. During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to taste honey tea, seasonal fruits, fresh coconut candy, and enjoy southern Vietnamese folk music. Finally, we'll return to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel around 6:30 PM.

Excellent if long trip with our guide Toan. Picked up from our hotel in luxury minibus - 7 in total for our trip. Tunnels/boat trip/canoe through the lagoons. Held a snake, beehive, fresh coconuts, coconut sweets, fresh honey tea, musicians, so much packed in despite the long journey.

Excellent full day trip. Looked after very well by Toan our brilliant and knowledgeable guide, as well as having our own driver. Food provided as part of package was plentiful and delicious, catering for everyone including vegans and vegetarians in party - Honey tea was a surprising treat, as were accompanying bees! Weather stayed relatively mild but ponchos were required at one point crossing delta, and remember to keep your head down on the small boat river journey 😀

I just got back from this tour and I had to write a review immediately. As a 24-year-old traveling solo in Vietnam for the first time, this was hands down the best day I've had. Our guide was ThanhTu, and he was just the best. He mentioned he comes from a family of soldiers and actually studied Vietnamese history in university, and you could totally tell. He wasn't just giving us memorized facts; he was sharing stories with a real, personal connection. You could feel his passion, and it made the history of the Cu Chi Tunnels come alive in a way I won't forget. Speaking of the tunnels, crawling through them was wild! A bit tight, but such a cool and humbling experience. The whole day was perfectly balanced. After the tunnels, we headed to the Mekong Delta, which was the polar opposite; so peaceful and beautiful. We did a fun little golf cart tour around one of the islands and then had this amazing fruit tasting with pandan tea. I even tried the cobra liquor. We explored the river in a boat peddled by this really sweet old man (a small tip goes a long way here!). The group was small, about 10 people, which was a great size to actually chat with everyone. The van was comfy and the AC was very strong (bring a light jacket, it got a bit chilly!). Pickup was smooth, lunch was delicious, and I felt completely safe and looked after the entire time as a solo traveler. If you're thinking about booking this, just do it. You get so much for your money, and having a guide like Tu, with his deep knowledge and chill vibe, really makes it special. 10/10 recommend.

Wonderful tour!! We loved everything!! Emily was very knowledgeable and super friendly. My teenage daughter normally complains anything sightseeing or learning about history kind of tour. However she really enjoyed this tour as Emily explained everything very interesting way. Lunch was also nice! It’s really good value tour considering a small group and lots of great experiences. Overall we highly recommend this tour!!

Full on day, jam packed with so much. Great company, kept us fed, watered and entertained. Driving skills to impress. Be prepared for a long day, but well worth it. Emily had a great sense of humor and fast tracked our movement through experiences to accommodate the preferences of the group and keep us on time.

Tu was a great guide that gave us heaps of interesting insights about the many things we came across our tour. We enjoyed both the places and the food along our trip to the tunnels and the Mekong river.
