  Our guide Matthew was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable, a great source of information and full of energy. He ensured everyone in the group felt welcome, answered all our questions and went above and beyond the description of the tour. He is a local to the Mekong delta so it was very interesting to hear first hand how the local communities utilise and live in the area, as well as the history and changes throughout the year. He also provided us with very clear instructions before the tour and the communication throughout was great. We highly recommend booking the tour and asking for Matthew as your guide. The tour is as described, we did not feel rushed, and it was beyond our expectations considering what we paid.

  Matthew was our guide for the day, he is extremely knowledgeable of the history of Vietnam and gave a full commentary throughout the day on all aspects of the tour. The lunch was perfect and refreshments and comfort breaks were well planned, it was a long day but the tour exceeded my expectations.

  Our host Matthew truly turned this already interesting tour into something even more special. I wish every guide were like him. So much history, so many new insights—shared in such an engaging and enjoyable way. Bravo. He kept us involved the whole time by asking questions and encouraging conversation. The tour itself is a powerful combination: witnessing the harsh history, feeling what the people endured in their struggle for independence, and understanding just how brutal that war was. The Mekong River is magical—especially the small boat ride through the wild, narrow canals. This is definitely a “must-do” when visiting Ho Chi Minh City.   Matthew was an incredible tour host, best one we have had so far, very kind and accomodating. We really enjoyed getting to know him and felt like good friends by the end. Such a fun group to be apart of and did parts on the tour that were separate from all the typical tourist spots. And great English too! 😁 -Sam and Abi

  Awesome day spent with Max. Very informative and makes the whole day fun and you walk away learning much more than you would expect. Our driver was great also, really comfortable seats and a pleasant drive even in the chaotic traffic. You see ALOT of other tours at the tunnels and none of the guides were as good as Max. I would ask for him if possible. His connection with the local people along the way is second to none and they really look after you.

  We had an amazing experience with the tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta! Our guide, Matthew, was excellent — he has a deep knowledge of the history, explains everything in detail and conveys his enthusiasm throughout the tour. We learned a lot, we saw wonderful places and we really enjoy every moment. The organization was perfect and the experience memorable. We strongly recommend him!

  What a great tour !! Max really knew his history - it was a big day but we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.   An informative, enjoyable, well presented day out. From the moment we were picked up at our hotel, bang on the time we had been given in an our pre-tour communication, we were looked after, educated and we had a really really good day. The journey between hotel and tunnels was filled with relevant information about the history of the country and the American war. Our guide Max clearly knew his stuff and was as keen to share this as we were to learn. We were expertly guided around the tunnel complex and were given in depth explanations about everything we saw and could experience. The tunnels themselves are a tight squeeze, but easily achievable with get-outs at different intervals. Our lunch was excellent! The river part of the tour was equally well thought out. History, tradition and 3 modes of transport!! We will enjoy our chocolate and coconut sweets before we get on the plane home! Great tour - highly recommended!
