Cu Chi Tunnels
We depart Ho Chi Chi Minh City in the morning to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, known for its role in the anti-American resistance during the Vietnam War and now seen as a symbol of heroism. With over 220 km of underground tunnels, it's a popular tourist attraction for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors. The scenic route from Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi passes through the local countryside, offering sights such as ducks and buffalo along the river. Despite its tranquil appearance today, it's hard to imagine the destruction caused by bombing and mines in the past, when Cu Chi was designated as a "free target zone."
My Tho
After investigating the tunnels, we'll head to My Tho, a province in the Mekong Delta region. We'll embark on a boat ride along the upper Mekong and witness the Four Animal Islands named after creatures in Buddhist lore: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this portion of the tour, you'll get a glimpse of local Vietnamese life and how it is tied to the river. Later, we'll take you on a rowboat excursion through the narrow waterways, showcasing the fertile agriculture of the delta with its fruit orchards, coconut plantations, and beekeeping farms. During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to taste honey tea, seasonal fruits, fresh coconut candy, and enjoy southern Vietnamese folk music. Finally, we'll return to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel around 6:30 PM.

We wad a really brilliant experience on the tour. Our guide, Tu, was fantastic at making us feel welcome, and talking us through the history, along with telling us about first hand experience from is Grandmother. I did feel that the drive from the tunnels to the Mekong Delta was a little long for the length of time you are there for, but it was still a great experience to visit. All in all we had a great time, and this was the highlight of our trip to HCM. Thank you for your positivity and kindness, Tu!

We had a great day with Tu exploring the Cu Chi tunnels + Mekong Delta. It’s a very long day, but you cover a lot of ground in that time. Tu was super friendly and knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. Lunch was amazing!

I went yo the tour with Tu, It was really nice experience, the information were historical, but not boring. He shared a lot of stories from real people, something that you can't read about. In the car we had around 11 people, but Tu took care of us all and paid attention to us. Overall I liked the tour, but you have to be prepared for long drive, because two of those places located pretty far from each other and I would say that the journey takes the same amount of time as the tour itself. Also take jacket with you, becaus in the bus there is an air conditioner and even I took sweater, I cought a cold after tour.

We had an incredible time on our full-day tour to the Cu-Chi tunnels and Mekong River! The entire day was deeply interesting, offering a fascinating look at Vietnam's history followed by a beautiful escape to the waterways of the Mekong delta. A massive highlight was our tour guide, Tu. He was absolutely fantastic—extremely knowledgeable about every site we visited and kept us entertained all day with his great sense of humor and jokes. He truly brought the history to life and made the long day feel effortless. The food was another pleasant surprise. From crawling through the tunnels to the peaceful boat ride, everything was well-organized. Highly recommend this tour, and definitely ask for Tu if you can

The tunnels in Vietnam are an authentic and well-organized experience, interesting even if you’re not a history enthusiast. The visit focuses on ingenuity and daily life rather than dramatizing the past. The guide was knowledgeable, clear, and friendly highly recommended.

Tu was a great tour guide, very knowledgable and kept high energy with interesting facts all day, long day but well worth it (though it is a lot of time in a car!).

Our family’s tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta was an unforgettable highlight of our Vietnam trip. The day offered the perfect mix of history, culture, and natural beauty — and our guide, Tu, made it truly special. Tu greeted us with a warm smile and immediately drew us in with his deep knowledge of Vietnam’s history and the Vietnam War. On the drive to Cu Chi, he shared fascinating stories about how the conflict shaped the country and the strength of the local people. When we arrived, exploring the famous tunnels. Crawling through the narrow passages gave us a real sense of what life was like underground during the war. Tu explained how the tunnels were constructed, the clever traps used for defense, and the incredible endurance of those who lived there. After a lunch break, we continued to the Mekong Delta, trading the tunnels’ darkness for the lush green expanses of the countryside. We took a motorboat across the river to a local coconut workshop, where we watched workers craft sweets and oils by hand and sampled freshly made coconut candy. Next came a peaceful canoe ride through palm‑lined waterways — quiet, scenic, and wonderfully relaxing. Our final stop was a local orchard, where we tasted fresh tropical fruits and honey tea before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City. Tu’s enthusiasm and storytelling brought every moment to life. It was an incredible day that combined history, beauty, and authenticity. We’d recommend this tour to anyone visiting Vietnam.
