Cu Chi Tunnels
We depart Ho Chi Chi Minh City in the morning to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, known for its role in the anti-American resistance during the Vietnam War and now seen as a symbol of heroism. With over 220 km of underground tunnels, it's a popular tourist attraction for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors. The scenic route from Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi passes through the local countryside, offering sights such as ducks and buffalo along the river. Despite its tranquil appearance today, it's hard to imagine the destruction caused by bombing and mines in the past, when Cu Chi was designated as a "free target zone."
My Tho
After investigating the tunnels, we'll head to My Tho, a province in the Mekong Delta region. We'll embark on a boat ride along the upper Mekong and witness the Four Animal Islands named after creatures in Buddhist lore: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this portion of the tour, you'll get a glimpse of local Vietnamese life and how it is tied to the river. Later, we'll take you on a rowboat excursion through the narrow waterways, showcasing the fertile agriculture of the delta with its fruit orchards, coconut plantations, and beekeeping farms. During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to taste honey tea, seasonal fruits, fresh coconut candy, and enjoy southern Vietnamese folk music. Finally, we'll return to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel around 6:30 PM.

Today me and my friends shared the guided tour in the Cu Chi tunnel area and along the Mekong, with a composite, nice group leaded by a non-common guide, Mr. Tu: he has been very professional, kind and passionate in exposing the history of his country, of the Cu Chi area and the importance of the Mekong River for Vietnam. I enjoyed a lot the experiences he proposed to us — entering a secret entrance for the tunnel, crawling along a second, longer tunnel, examining a tank disabled by a landmine, shooting at the range. He shared many historical facts and aneddoctes too, which I appreciated particularly since I've a history MD (we had in fact some talk about it later in the day). After a typical Vietnamese lunch (much needed and delicious) we went to the Mekong ferry, which brought us to the Island of Cu Lao Thoi Son: here Tu guided us through local cuisine, snake wine included, and took us in a trip on traditional, little riverine boats. All in all a fantastic day: it's an experience that I highly recommend. Thank you Mr. Tu!

It was an amazing day, Thanh Tu showed us pictures that we hadn’t seen before about the war and the explanation was very clear, he planned everything very well so we enjoyed utterly the day.

I travelled to Vietnam for the first time as a Vietnamese born Australian in December 2025 with my brother. We decided to do the Cu Chu Tunnels and Mekong Delta River Tour to learn more about the history of Vietnam. Our tour guide was Tu, he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and was all around an amazing tour guide for us. It was great to learn about our history and to experience what it was like. I would highly recommend you try this tour if you are coming to Saigon.

My brother and I are both Vietnamese and are born In australia. So unfortunately never had the best knowledge on the history of Vietnam. Which is why we decided to take a trip to Vietnam to learn more about our culture. We booked a tour on for the cu chi tunnel and mekong delta river tour and had the best tour guide. His name was Tu. He was so nice and accommodating, he was funny and had a great knowledge of the history of the war and educated us thoroughly. He made the tour really fun and guided us safely through the tunnels as well as the tour on the mekong delta river. Highly recommend him as he also took time to get to know a bit about us and everyone in the group. Whether it’s your first time in saigon or your 15th, you will really enjoy this tour especially if you have Tu as your tour guide

We had a wonderful experience with our tour guide, Tu! He was very experienced and knowledgeable, and his personal stories helped us relate to the events of the Vietnam War. The way he used pictures and illustrations made the history come alive—almost like an interactive history lesson that kept everyone engaged. The pacing of the tour was excellent: never rushed, yet efficient and well-organised. Lunch was comforting and delicious, and we really appreciated that there was absolutely no pressure to buy anything or tip at any of the stops. Tu’s punctuality and professionalism stood out throughout the day. The Cu Chi tunnel portion is highly recommended, especially for those interested in looking for a deeper and more meaningful understanding of Vietnam’s past.

This day trip was an amazing experience and highly recommend it to everyone. Our tour guide Tu was very friendly and provided lots of information and history during the entire trip. Both Cu Chi tunnels and the Mekong are a must see while visiting Ho Chi Minh. We went on the smaller group tour and it was the perfect amount of people. Tranportation was well organized and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Experience: Simply put, it was amazing! I'm India and am well acquainted with the cuisine of Vietnam, so perhaps gastronomically I was not too surprised (still liked it). But, everything else buying short of perfect. Due to some initial administrative troubles, they even upgraded my trip to the smaller group :) Throughout the trip, I did not feel rushed and was able to soak in the experience. I couldn't bring a raincoat and Toan (our guide) even brought one for me. Highly recommended! Fees: 38 CHF/person Crowd: 12 people Length: 12 hours Atmosphere: Comfortable, relaxed, informal, supportive Special thanks to Toan for making this trip memorable.

I enjoyed the tour and Toan was extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly. My only drawback was it was too long! The boat on Unicorn Island and the bees was a stretch! Also, the description didn’t speak to petting a snake nor the bees. All descriptions of yours should be clear and concise what it someone is allergic to something like bees, that would not be good. Otherwise it was a good tour.
