Cu Chi Tunnels
We depart Ho Chi Chi Minh City in the morning to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, known for its role in the anti-American resistance during the Vietnam War and now seen as a symbol of heroism. With over 220 km of underground tunnels, it's a popular tourist attraction for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors. The scenic route from Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi passes through the local countryside, offering sights such as ducks and buffalo along the river. Despite its tranquil appearance today, it's hard to imagine the destruction caused by bombing and mines in the past, when Cu Chi was designated as a "free target zone."
My Tho
After investigating the tunnels, we'll head to My Tho, a province in the Mekong Delta region. We'll embark on a boat ride along the upper Mekong and witness the Four Animal Islands named after creatures in Buddhist lore: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this portion of the tour, you'll get a glimpse of local Vietnamese life and how it is tied to the river. Later, we'll take you on a rowboat excursion through the narrow waterways, showcasing the fertile agriculture of the delta with its fruit orchards, coconut plantations, and beekeeping farms. During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to taste honey tea, seasonal fruits, fresh coconut candy, and enjoy southern Vietnamese folk music. Finally, we'll return to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel around 6:30 PM.

What a great tour !! Max really knew his history - it was a big day but we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The limousine with massage chairs was an absolute winner for us all, there was a bit of travel between the two destinations so it was very welcomed 😀 if you're thinking of booking this tour I can highly recommend it.

An informative, enjoyable, well presented day out. From the moment we were picked up at our hotel, bang on the time we had been given in an our pre-tour communication, we were looked after, educated and we had a really really good day. The journey between hotel and tunnels was filled with relevant information about the history of the country and the American war. Our guide Max clearly knew his stuff and was as keen to share this as we were to learn. We were expertly guided around the tunnel complex and were given in depth explanations about everything we saw and could experience. The tunnels themselves are a tight squeeze, but easily achievable with get-outs at different intervals. Our lunch was excellent! The river part of the tour was equally well thought out. History, tradition and 3 modes of transport!! We will enjoy our chocolate and coconut sweets before we get on the plane home! Great tour - highly recommended!

Excellent experience, our driver was great and guide Xem was knowledgeable and kind. I recommend this tour, with one note: its a lot of time sitting in the van, which was comfortable with good AC, so no issues for me.

I booked the trip via booking.com and i enjoyed the tour very much. Our tour guide Matthew did a great job. He was well prepared with pictures and illustrations and gave us so much additional informations about vietnam war and Vietnamese culture. It was really great to see the tunnels and learned about history. The boat trip to the Mekong Delta was calm and nice and i really loved the tea and the fruits we get there. The vietnamese people are so lovely and kind. I enjoyed the tour a lot.

Its a very long day-12 hours but definitely worth it. Our guide Matthew was really knowledgeable and spoke great English. I would recommend wearing appropriate footwear as the grounds of the tunnels are very uneven. The tunnels are an important part of Vietnams history and are quite haunting. The afternoon embraced the current Vietnam culture and the boat trips were an added bonus.

Had an amazing experience visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta—made even better by our fantastic guide, Mattew! From the moment the tour started, Mattew was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing Vietnam’s history and culture. At the Cu Chi Tunnels, he explained everything in a really engaging way, making the history come alive rather than just feeling like a typical tour. You could tell he really cared about making sure everyone understood the significance of the site. The Mekong Delta portion was just as memorable—beautiful scenery, peaceful boat rides, and great local experiences. Mattew kept the energy up the whole day and made sure everyone was comfortable, entertained, and well taken care of. Overall, it was a perfect mix of education, fun, and relaxation. Highly recommend this tour—especially if you get Mattew as your guide!

Started off with an easy pickup in a really nice air-conditioned limo bus. Our guide Matthew was super energetic and gave us a very thorough run through of the history of the cu chi tunnels and the meekong delta! Definitely try out shooting the AK-47 at the cu chi tunnels!
