Cu Chi Tunnels
We depart Ho Chi Chi Minh City in the morning to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, known for its role in the anti-American resistance during the Vietnam War and now seen as a symbol of heroism. With over 220 km of underground tunnels, it's a popular tourist attraction for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors. The scenic route from Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi passes through the local countryside, offering sights such as ducks and buffalo along the river. Despite its tranquil appearance today, it's hard to imagine the destruction caused by bombing and mines in the past, when Cu Chi was designated as a "free target zone."
My Tho
After investigating the tunnels, we'll head to My Tho, a province in the Mekong Delta region. We'll embark on a boat ride along the upper Mekong and witness the Four Animal Islands named after creatures in Buddhist lore: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this portion of the tour, you'll get a glimpse of local Vietnamese life and how it is tied to the river. Later, we'll take you on a rowboat excursion through the narrow waterways, showcasing the fertile agriculture of the delta with its fruit orchards, coconut plantations, and beekeeping farms. During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to taste honey tea, seasonal fruits, fresh coconut candy, and enjoy southern Vietnamese folk music. Finally, we'll return to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel around 6:30 PM.

Our first stop was at a place where Vietnamese people affected by agent orange hand made inlayed paintings. We had the opportunity to see how these works of art were made and then purchase. Then 40 minute drive to the Cu chi tunnels. Our guide Tu was very informative. We had an opportunity to crawl through one of the tunnels to experience how cramped it was during the Vietnam war. Then we were served a local Vietnamese lunch. Then a 2 hour drive to the Mekong Delta where we rode a motorized river boat to Ky Lan an island where we saw different candy’s made and sampled them. Honey from local bees and local fruits. Then rode a sampan, paddled by 2 locals down the Mekong for 3 km. It was a great experience. I would recommend this tour.

Mathew was a great tour guide. From keeping us updated about pick up to telling us exactly what was happening when during the day trip. He was a great guide and had excellent knowledge of the tunnels and the Mekong Delta. Food was really tasty with lots of options, would definitely recommend.

Matthew was an amazing tour guide who is very knowledgeable!! He walked us through everything and knew the smallest details. The tunnels were very interesting to see with lots of history. The river cruise was my personal favorite, very authentic experience with amazing fruits.

This was without a doubt the highlight of our Saigon holiday. Incredible value for money and an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The small‑group setting made it even better, as it allowed us to connect easily and build genuine friendships along the way. Matthew, our guide, was outstanding, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and fluent in English, and he thoughtfully kept the group refreshed with water throughout the day. The food experiences were exceptional, and the activities were so enjoyable we’d happily do this every day of the week. To top it off, our driver was impeccably punctual for every activity, which was no small feat given Saigon’s chaotic traffic. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing day from start to finish. Pickup was punctual and smooth, and our guide, Matthew, was fantastic—passionate, friendly, and truly brought the experience to life. The Cu Chi Tunnels were fascinating and unforgettable. Crawling through them and even getting the chance to fire rifles made it both eye-opening and exciting. Lunch was simple but delicious, with rice, meats, fresh fruit, and iced green tea. In the afternoon, the Mekong Delta offered a peaceful contrast. The boat ride through quiet canals, local singing, and visit to a chocolate factory made it feel relaxed and authentic. Everything was well-organized, and the day ended with a comfortable ride back to the hotel. A perfect mix of history, culture, and relaxation.

Tu, the tour guide for the Cuchi Tunnel and Mekong Delta was exceptionally knowledgeable about the places we visited and the history of Vietnam overall. He spoke the English language very well and was kind enough to answer a number of questions during the trip. He had a pleasant demeanor during our interactions with him.
