Cu Chi Tunnels
Tour stars approximately at 7:30AM to 7:00PM - This full-day tour takes you from Ho Chi Minh city to two popular attractions: Cu Chi Tunnels, and the Mekong Delta. Around 7:30am. Get picked up from your hotel in the center of Ho Chi Minh city and head to Cu Chi Tunnels. After 1.5 hours ride, we arrive at the tunnels where you will get a chance to learn about the fascinating history and significance of the tunnels during the Vietnam War. You will have the opportunity to crawl distances of the tunnels, try your hand at the shooting range, and witness the intricate network of underground tunnels and traps that played a significant role in the war. After exploring the tunnels, we'll head to a local restaurant for lunch to try some of the delicious local Vietnamese cuisine (vegan food available).
My Tho
After lunch, we'll head to My Tho - the heart of the Mekong Delta region. You'll get a glimpse into the daily life of the locals as we take a boat ride down the Mekong River, where you can enjoy the picturesque scenery of the surrounding countryside. We will then take a sampan ride through the small waterways with coconut palms line both sides, where you can experience the rural lifestyle, stop by the bee house to enjoy some local fruits and honey tea, listen to a live local music performance performed by the villagers. We'll wrap up our day and head back to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon and be taken back to your hotel. This is a unique opportunity to experience some of the best Southern Vietnam has to offer, with a mix of history, culture, and natural beauty all in one day.

Absolutely amazing day out with Lockie the tour guide and Hero the driver. They crammed so much all into one day starting off with a lovely bit of singing on the bus showing us his karaoke skills until we reached the Cu Chi tunnels. The trip was very well organised and very informative showing all the history and authenticity of parts of Vietnam that you wouldn’t find by yourself. I would gladly do it all over again and will definitely be recommending this to my friends who are visiting soon. Thanks again Lockie and keep singing like an angel :-)

We had a great time exploring the different areas around HCMC with Lucky as our guide! The day is pretty packed so you definitely feel like you’re getting your money’s worth. We also got to try lots of different snacks and drinks, like snake/cobra wine and coconut candy. Lucky is a very knowledgeable and lighthearted guide, and did an excellent job keeping the group moving and engaged. The only reason we didn’t give this a 5 star review is because the Cu Chi tunnels feel slightly rushed, and it would have been nicer to have a little more time to learn about them and see some more of the exhibits they have around. Other than that, definitely worth seeing. Just make sure to bring lots of water!

I have very mixed feelings about our experience. Overall the value for money is great, however the tour had a few major drawbacks. I would like to be fair in my review, however I must address the rudeness of our tour guide at some points. The tour guide started the tour on a negative note by telling us off a little bit that we were not waiting outside for the bus, despite that not being clearly stated as an instruction by the company. He was also very rude about another guest due to a misunderstanding of pick up location and made us feel quite uncomfortable as other guests on the tour. I felt so bad for the targeted individual on the tour because no one should speak to a customer/guest like that unless severely provoked. The tour in the tunnels felt rushed and we did not get to do and take the typical photo other tourists get to take where you get into the tunnel and cover yourself with the cover. Our tour guide told us that it was a very touristy thing to do and just skipped over it. The tunnels felt very rushed and a lot of questions asked by guests on the tour were approached with borderline rudeness. I understand these tours can be exhausting as a guide, however making guests feel like an inconvenience for being there and that their tour is kind of pointless is surely not the approach someone should take as a guide. We were taken to a few tourist spots where we were heavily encouraged to tip or buy something despite it not really being part of why we were there, such as a restaurant where we were sung to and the staff looked miserable then dropped a tips basket in front of us. We went on a boat on the river and although it was very interesting, the lady mentioned she has ‘babies’ and was really rushing to get down the river. She stopped rowing and immediately said again that she has children and asked for a tip, forcing the person in front (aka me) to awkwardly tip her even if I did not want to. I think there are definitely better tours than this one and I think the company consider how their staff are coming across to others. We are Western tourists, yes, but we should not be made guilty to spend money and tip, we should do so based on how happy we are with our experience/to show appreciation. There were good parts too of course, we learnt and saw a lot in one day. The van was comfortable and ac was good. The driver was good too, and we felt very safe. However, the tunnels are such a big part of the country’s history and to rush through it/make us feel like we are just doing another ‘unoriginal’ tourist experience feels quite wrong.

I definitely recommend this tour. Our tour guide, Dat, was very knowledgeable, articulate and his English was perfect. If you are into culture and history, this tour does not disappoint. It was probably one of the best tours we've done in all of the places we've visited around the world.

Big Dave made our trip to Cu Chi absolutely unforgettable! From start to finish, he provided amazing service, kept everything fun and organized, and made sure we had the best experience possible. The entire day was filled with unlimited laughs, great energy, and so much interesting information about the tunnels and history. He truly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and entertained. If you’re visiting Cu Chi, I highly recommend booking with Big Dave — you won’t regret it!

We had an amazing experience on the Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta tour in Ho Chi Minh City. Our tour guide, Lara, was absolutely exceptional. She gave us the perfect amount of information without overloading us and really knew how to read the group and keep everyone engaged and comfortable throughout the day. Everything was so well organised from start to finish. A special mention to our driver as well — he was fantastic. The van was spotless, comfortable, and made the long day very enjoyable. The lunch was also excellent with plenty of food provided and it gave us a great insight into the local cuisine. Doing both tours in one day was such a great experience and flowed seamlessly. We highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to see both the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta while in Ho Chi Minh City. Amazing experience all around!

Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh. It is a full day of learning and experiencing the Vietnamese culture. The tunnels are insane and must be experienced and you get a real insight to how life was like during the Vietnam war. Lunch was great, plentiful and full of flavour The Mekong cruise was spectacular and a great way to spend an afternoon, so pretty with stops along the way offering new experiences to be enjoyed Our tour guide was the Dragon King who is a very likeable guy and clearly passionate about his work and making sure everyone gets involved with what the tour has to offer.

Absolutely incredible! I would do this again. Big handsome Dave was wonderful and kept us entertained. Such an easy process, I booked through my hostel the night before and got picked up from my accommodation on the morning. Dave’s English was great and was very informative

We had the best day ever. We were upgraded to luxury which was a bonus but even without it, for what you pay it's a bargain. Dragon king was an amazing guide and the driver was top tier safe when it comes to navigating the chaos on the roads. There was the perfect variety of fun, adventure and curiosity today. My husband and I loved every minute. Make sure you bring some VND to buy things as you visit and experience to support the locals and to tip your driver and guide, they go above and beyond. We learnt so much and seriously had an amazing day. I honestly think if you found a reason to complain, it would say something more about you than the tour today because it was top tier and for what was paid, an absolute steal.
