Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta One Day is a small group tour that allows you to avoid the crowded touristy bus. Group size max of 12 passengers. We will pick-up at your hotel in districts 1, 3, and 4.

- Explore the Cu Chi Tunnels' underground system.

- Mekong River motorboat and rowing boat rides

- Take a tour of a coconut candy factory and sip honey tea on a bee farm.

- Listen to Vietnamese traditional folk music, visit the fruit garden, and taste tropical fruit.

What To Expect

Cu Chi Tunnels

We’ll pick you up at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel in the early morning, and you’ll travel with your English-speaking guide to the Cu Chi tunnels. The drive is around 60 km. At Cu Chi, you’ll be shown a documentary film about the tunnels and learn how the locals made bamboo traps, rice paper, and rice wine. You’ll then have the opportunity to explore the web of underground tunnels dug by Vietnamese resistance fighters.

My Tho

After exploring the tunnels, we’ll drive to My Tho. This is one of the provinces that comprise the Mekong Delta area. We’ll cruise by boat along the upper Mekong through a region with islands named after 4 animals that appear in Buddhist writings – Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this part of the tour, you’ll observe some of the activities of regional Vietnamese daily life and appreciate how life here depends on the River. We’ll then take you on a trip by rowboat along the small waterways. You’ll see the agricultural richness of the delta region in its fruit orchards, coconut groves, and bee-keeping farms. We’ll stop so you can enjoy honey tea, seasonal fruit, fresh coconut candy, and southern Vietnamese folk music. At the end of our tour, we’ll drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel at around 18:00.

    Good tour, the tunnels are a sobering experience but important to see, would recommend if you haven’t been. The row boat along the Mekong is lovely and peaceful. There are good food stops for lunch and some other local fruits/tea. Betty was an informative and fun tour guide, she made sure everyone was involved and was accommodating.

    Great day, very interesting insight into the daily struggle of those involved in the very long war. How people survived living underground is difficult to imagine add to that fighting a war at the same time.. Then on a lighter note the visit ti the island, the boat trip, the singing the food all excellent. Best of all our guide, Kim, funny, knowlegable, a geniune delight.

    We had a fantastic time on this tour. Our guide Kim was amazing! She was funny, knowledgeable and friendly. Kim made the whole day a joy. The trip included a great range of activities and had lots of food and drinks to try.

    The cu chi tunnels were great to see and the Mekong delta. So good to see apart of the history of Vietnam. Kim our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We also got to try lots of great food and the included lunch was delicious.
