What To Expect
Cu Chi Tunnels
We’ll pick you up at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel in the early morning, and you’ll travel with your English-speaking guide to the Cu Chi tunnels. The drive is around 60 km. At Cu Chi, you’ll be shown a documentary film about the tunnels and learn how the locals made bamboo traps, rice paper, and rice wine. You’ll then have the opportunity to explore the web of underground tunnels dug by Vietnamese resistance fighters.
My Tho
After exploring the tunnels, we’ll drive to My Tho. This is one of the provinces that comprise the Mekong Delta area. We’ll cruise by boat along the upper Mekong through a region with islands named after 4 animals that appear in Buddhist writings – Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this part of the tour, you’ll observe some of the activities of regional Vietnamese daily life and appreciate how life here depends on the River. We’ll then take you on a trip by rowboat along the small waterways. You’ll see the agricultural richness of the delta region in its fruit orchards, coconut groves, and bee-keeping farms. We’ll stop so you can enjoy honey tea, seasonal fruit, fresh coconut candy, and southern Vietnamese folk music. At the end of our tour, we’ll drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel at around 18:00.

5.00I booked this day trip last minute, everything went smoothly and nothing to worry about. Emily contact me the night before regarding pick up time and all info I needed. Pick went quickly and we set off on our travels. Emily was very good at letting us know what was happening through the day. She is also very professional and experienced in all we needed during the day. Lunch was excellent in a very nice place at the Cu Ci Tunels site. Onto the Mekong Delta which was a fabulous experience and we enjoyed all the stops we made. Lots of opportunities to visit the HAPPY place 😀 overall we had a fabulous day, with Emily making it even better. Thank you for a fantastic experience which we will remember!

5.00What a great experience made special by our tour guide Kevin. Great communication throughout and very punctual arring ahead of schedule. Great drive to tunnels with a history lesson thrown in. Lunch was awesome and then a long drive to meikong river so able to catch-up on sleep after early morning start.
You want to have Mac as your guide on this tour!

5.00Max was an excellent tour guide. He took us to the tunnels and also led a fantastic local culture tour, explaining the history and daily life in a way that was clear, engaging, and never rushed. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about Vietnam, which made the experience feel personal rather than scripted. Highly recommend Max if you want a guide who really brings the country to life.

5.00Wow wow wow!! 100/100 experience today!! Visited the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta, and it turned out to be such a meaningful and memorable day. The tunnels themselves were fascinating and gave a powerful insight into the history and resilience of the people who lived and fought there. It really puts things into perspective. we were Also feed a delicious lunch after the tour which I really enjoyed, so yum. We visited the handicapped handicrafts workshop which blew me away !! So many beautiful art pieces made by resilient and talented artists <3 very moving experience. The Mekong River portion of the tour was beautiful and relaxing. We got to experience local culture, enjoy traditional music, and taste fresh tropical fruits, which made the whole day feel rich and authentic. A huge highlight was our tour guide, Matthew. He was warm, kind, incredibly knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable and welcome. His storytelling and friendly energy made the entire experience extra special. I’ll never forget this day 😁 I Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a deeper cultural and historical experience in Vietnam. 🇻🇳 truely a fulfilling and rewarding experience,, thank you so much 🌺

5.00Trip was about 10 hours. Finished last boat ride around 6pm and maybe about 1 hour 30 mins drive back to hcmc, maybe a bit longer if traffic. Matthew our tour guide was simply amazing, good English, easy to converse with and funny. He was also very informative about a lot of things related to the tour.
