What To Expect
Cu Chi Tunnels
We’ll pick you up at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel in the early morning, and you’ll travel with your English-speaking guide to the Cu Chi tunnels. The drive is around 60 km. At Cu Chi, you’ll be shown a documentary film about the tunnels and learn how the locals made bamboo traps, rice paper, and rice wine. You’ll then have the opportunity to explore the web of underground tunnels dug by Vietnamese resistance fighters.
My Tho
After exploring the tunnels, we’ll drive to My Tho. This is one of the provinces that comprise the Mekong Delta area. We’ll cruise by boat along the upper Mekong through a region with islands named after 4 animals that appear in Buddhist writings – Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this part of the tour, you’ll observe some of the activities of regional Vietnamese daily life and appreciate how life here depends on the River. We’ll then take you on a trip by rowboat along the small waterways. You’ll see the agricultural richness of the delta region in its fruit orchards, coconut groves, and bee-keeping farms. We’ll stop so you can enjoy honey tea, seasonal fruit, fresh coconut candy, and southern Vietnamese folk music. At the end of our tour, we’ll drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel at around 18:00.

5.00My brother and I really enjoyed the trip, Kevin was an excellent guide for the day, through the Cu Chi Tunnels, crossing the Mekong River to the island with natural (non sugar) candy, tuk tuk ride, and finishing with a canal boat trip. It’s a long day but totally worth it.

5.00Had a very insightful experience where we got to learn about the War and how the tunnels were built and function. It was very moving being inside and imagining how combat life was. Don't fret! Not everything is dark and heavy because our guide Emily had lots of enertand good vibes. She was knowledgeable and we got to visit the Delta too and have diferent foods and drinks and get on a boat through the canals. Overall a fun experience and a must for visiting Vietnam!

5.00Amazing Mekong Delta & Cu Chi Tunnel Tour We had a wonderful experience on the Mekong Delta and Tunnel Tour. Everything was well organized from start to finish, and the day was both interesting and relaxing. Our guide was excellent – very friendly, knowledgeable, and always attentive to the group. He explained the history and local culture in a clear and engaging way and made sure everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of. The Mekong Delta was beautiful, with peaceful boat rides, lush scenery, and a great insight into local life. The visit to the tunnels was fascinating and very informative, giving us a real understanding of the history and challenges of the past. Overall, this tour was a perfect combination of nature, history, and culture. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area – and especially with such a great guide!
