What To Expect
Cu Chi Tunnels
We’ll pick you up at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel in the early morning, and you’ll travel with your English-speaking guide to the Cu Chi tunnels. The drive is around 60 km. At Cu Chi, you’ll be shown a documentary film about the tunnels and learn how the locals made bamboo traps, rice paper, and rice wine. You’ll then have the opportunity to explore the web of underground tunnels dug by Vietnamese resistance fighters.
My Tho
After exploring the tunnels, we’ll drive to My Tho. This is one of the provinces that comprise the Mekong Delta area. We’ll cruise by boat along the upper Mekong through a region with islands named after 4 animals that appear in Buddhist writings – Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this part of the tour, you’ll observe some of the activities of regional Vietnamese daily life and appreciate how life here depends on the River. We’ll then take you on a trip by rowboat along the small waterways. You’ll see the agricultural richness of the delta region in its fruit orchards, coconut groves, and bee-keeping farms. We’ll stop so you can enjoy honey tea, seasonal fruit, fresh coconut candy, and southern Vietnamese folk music. At the end of our tour, we’ll drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel at around 18:00.

5.005* day out with Kevin our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient and had a great sense of humour. We enjoyed the Tunnels a fabulous lunch then a lovely afternoon at the Mekong Delta visiting local producers a village garden fruit tasting topped off with a chilled boat ride in the plams. Would 💯recommend this trip well worth the money.

5.00We had an amazing experience on our tour exploring the tunnels, the city, and the delta river in Vietnam. It was such a well-rounded day and one of the most informative tours of our trip. Our guide, Mei (My), was absolutely outstanding. She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much history and insight throughout the entire tour. You could tell she truly understood the stories and significance behind everything we were seeing, and she explained it all in a way that was engaging and easy to follow. We learned so much from her, and she made the experience feel meaningful rather than just sightseeing. The entire tour was very well organized and ran smoothly from start to finish. Everything was thoughtfully planned, and we felt taken care of the whole time. Overall, it was a great experience all around — educational, interesting, and memorable. We highly recommend this tour, especially if you get Mei as your guide!

3.00The itinerary was well planned, our tour guide Tiny was super friendly and very nice. Unfortunately, this tour is to a large extent a sales event and that sucks! It would have been better to pack in more historical than sales stuff. Best in terms of sales, even at the beginning was a kind of disabled workshop where supposedly people who were harmed in the Vietnam War with e.g. Agent Orange work and make really nice things like pictures, vases or jewelry boxes, but that also comes at a price, because the production of a picture takes about 3-4 weeks.

5.00We highly recommend this tour. Emily, our local guide, picked us up from our hotel. After an hour and a half we arrived at the famous Cu Chi tunnels where she explained how it was going during the war. We were able to experience crawling through tunnels that are really narrow. After lunch on site, we set out for the Mekong Delta. Arriving there, we took a boat to discover and a hive and harvest honey. We also took a short trip of 15 minutes by canoe. Then we returned to our hotel. It was a very nice day and we recommend this experience (and Emily of course!) to everyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City.

Everything was perfectly organized, and our guide Emily was simply outstanding. Thanks to her excellent planning, we skipped all the lines and made the most of our time.
