This was a very interesting experience and the tour leader was knowledgeable. Be prepared for the long drive out and equally long trip back to the city. Personally and most of the others in my tour group were not interested in the optional ‘gun shooting range’ - we were ready to return to HCM city, but since 1 person was interested we went to the shooting range. Lesson learned: on a group tour even 1 person can significantly impact how a tour is conducted.

There’s a reason you only find great reviews for this trip! Our guide, Anthony, was fantastic. His grandfather fought in the war and so Anthony brought a great perspective to the trip. He really made the long drive there pass quickly with history and his personal story. You do spend a long time on the bus but you can’t miss these tunnels and the great guide. 1 quick stop at a factory for a bathroom stop but it was fairly quick and there was no pressure by the guide to participate.
