What To Expect
Ho Chi Minh City
Escape the bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and head straight to the countryside. Unlike standard big-bus tours, our Small Group van navigates the traffic faster, getting you to the site before the massive crowds arrive (for the morning slot). Watch the cityscape fade into rice paddies and rubber plantations. Your guide will provide an introduction to the Vietnam War (American War) context, setting the scene for what you are about to witness.
Ben Duoc tunnel complex
Upon arrival, watch a short documentary (a relic from the war era) before heading into the jungle. - Discover how a 200km underground web was built using simple tools. - See the ingenious and terrifying traps used during the conflict. - Experience the claustrophobic reality of tunnel life by crawling through a safe section of the tunnel (widened for visitors). Note: Crawling is optional; you can walk above ground if you prefer. For those interested in military history, there is an opportunity to fire real weapons (AK-47 or M16) at the National Defense Sports Shooting Range (bullets are at your own expense). Before leaving, sit down to taste boiled tapioca with sesame salt and hot pandan tea—the actual diet that sustained the Viet Cong fighters in the tunnels.

They turned a historical site into a living, breathing story. From the moment the tour began, their energy and deep knowledge were evident. They didn’t just recite facts – they shared personal insights, historical context, and even local anecdotes that made the Viet Minh and Viet Cong soldiers’ resilience feel real. Their English was excellent, and they had a perfect balance of humor and respect for the heavy history. What stood out most? Our guide explained the ingenious tunnel construction, booby traps, and underground life with such clarity and passion that everyone in the group was captivated. They kept checking in on everyone, especially during the tight tunnel crawl, and made sure no one felt rushed or uncomfortable. Also, they helped us understand the local perspective beyond the typical war narrative, which was both moving and educational. 5.00I had a great experience doing the Cu Chi Tunnels half day tour. We were picked up from our hotel in District 1 which was very convenient. Ms. Thuyen, our guide, and our driver were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The drive there felt safe and also very comfortable in the air conditioned van. Our group size was also very nice. There wasn’t too many or too little people which made the experience very pleasant. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City to do the Cu Chi Tunnels half day tour.

5.00The experience was great. It was thrilling and fun but with just the right pace with our lovely and energetic tour guide Sunny. Sunny was very fun and well-spoken. I had a great time with my friends mostly because of her guidance, stories, and fun and lively interaction with us all throughout. It was very educational and I appreciate the first-hand experience of Vietnam’s rich history. The admission fee was justified by how rich the tour was. The length of visit was just right that we were able to have short rests in between stops. The atmosphere gave us a sneak peek of what happened in the war while also having a modern feel. The crowd size was also just right enough for the time and to hear our tour guides explanations. It is a tour best for families, couples, or friends. Not much for kids younger than 10.
