What To Expect
Cu Chi Tunnels
Around 8:00AM or 12:10PM. Start with pickup from the center of Ho Chi Minh City or meet at the meeting point then depart for Cu Chi Tunnels. After 1.5 hour drive, we arrive at the Tunnels where You'll have the opportunity to explore the tunnel system, which includes narrow passageways, hidden entrances, and underground chambers. Learn about the daily life of the Cu Chi guerrilla fighters and how they managed to survive in the tunnels. You can crawl distances through the tunnels that were used by the guerrilla fighters during the Vietnam War. You may see kitchens, living quarters, among other things used during the war. Learn about how different types traps were created and set up. Visit the weapon rooms and learn how the ingenious soldiers made them. You can also safely try your hand at the shooting range with an AK-47. After exploration, we travel back to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive approximately at 3:30pm for the morning tour and 7:00pm for the afternoon tour.

5.00The site was amazing. It was very well planned and organised to maximise the tourist experience, which encaptulated that time of war and the tenacity of the vietnamese people. Our driver and guide were wonderful. Dyan, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the site. He also showed a great pride in his culture and the ways of the local people. I would highly recomend Dyan and the tour company that he represents. Well done and thank you for sharing. Neil Larsen.

2.00Bao communicated well, prepared well with storytelling/history/facts and is a funny, entertaining guide. But, as the tour went on, he became a bit cold and offered little substance to his messaging by the end of the tour. We noticed this behavioural shift after hardly anyone from the tour bought any additional extras from the first 2 stops (art factory + shooting range). As for the tour itself, we came away feeling disappointed. The art factory and shooting range stops could've been communicated within the booking page as additional extras rather than places we MUST stop at - please give people a choice. Both stops felt like a waste of time for our group and reduced the time we could spend at the tunnels. The group were interested in the shooting range, but the cost for bullets are extortionate and you can find more affordable options in Europe. The tunnels were brilliant but as mentioned above, we had hardly any time there due to the unnecessary stops and the experience felt super rushed. We would've preferred to spend an extra 1-1.5 hours at the tunnels but we only got around 45 minutes. This tour has so much potential if the planning and communication with the group is improved. Until then, I wouldn't recommend this tour or use this same company again.
