I had a wonderful experience visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels. The tour was well-organized and timed perfectly, giving us plenty of opportunity to explore and learn without feeling rushed. The site itself is incredibly impressive and eye-opening—walking through the tunnels and seeing the traps, shelters, and historical artifacts really brings the history to life. Our guide Tom made the tour exceptional. He’s energetic, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. He shared detailed stories and interesting facts in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. You could feel his passion for the history of the tunnels, and he kept everyone involved and entertained throughout the day. This tour was informative, memorable, and a must-do when in Ho Chi Minh City. If you’re planning to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, I highly recommend booking with Tom—you’ll learn a lot and have a great time doing it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Cu Chi Tunnels tour was one of the most fascinating and memorable experiences of my entire trip, offering a deep and engaging insight into a remarkable part of Vietnamese history. I had expected the tunnels themselves to be interesting, but I was genuinely surprised by just how immersive and eye-opening the experience was. Walking through sections of the network, seeing the concealed entrances, and learning about the ingenious methods used for survival and defence gave a vivid sense of what life must have been like during the war. It was an experience that balanced education with emotion, making the history feel immediate and real rather than distant. What elevated the tour from great to truly exceptional, however, was our guide, Boa. From the moment we arrived, he set the tone with his warm, humorous, and incredibly welcoming personality. He had that rare ability to make everyone feel comfortable while keeping the entire group fully engaged. His storytelling was captivating—he explained complex and often heavy historical topics in a way that was easy to follow, while still showing deep respect for the subject matter. His knowledge seemed endless, but it was his passion for sharing it that made all the difference. Boa’s humour added an unexpected but much-appreciated layer to the day. He knew exactly when to lighten the mood with a joke or playful comment, and he had everyone laughing throughout the tour. Despite the difficult history surrounding the tunnels, he managed to create an atmosphere that felt both respectful and enjoyable. It never felt forced—his comedy came naturally and helped bring the group together. Several moments still make me smile when I think back on them, and it’s rare to find a guide who can balance information and entertainment so effortlessly. His friendliness made the experience even more memorable. Boa took time to speak to everyone individually, answering questions, offering additional stories, and making sure each person got the most out of the visit. You could tell he genuinely cared about the experience we were having, and that level of attentiveness is something you don’t encounter often. It was clear that for him this wasn’t just a job—it was something he took real pride in. By the end of the tour, I realised that while the Cu Chi Tunnels themselves were fascinating, it was Boa who truly made the day unforgettable. His energy, humour, kindness, and depth of knowledge were the highlight of the entire experience. I left with a much greater understanding of the history, and with a smile on my face thanks to his incredible personality. If you’re considering taking the Cu Chi Tunnels tour, I couldn’t recommend it more—especially if you have the chance to go with Boa. He turned an already interesting site into a genuinely exceptional and enriching experience.

Awesome trip, you can experience how small these tunnels in reality are. Only a moment inside them and you feel fatigue, especially if you are taller. Also, the guide Tuan shared real insights from Vietnam War about harsh conditions that soldiers were forced to live under inside tunnels for many years to survive and protect that land. Amazing experience and a lot of real history.

We did the full day tour in Ho Chi Minh City which covered the Cu Chi Tunnels, Black Virgin Mountain and the temple. Our tour guides, Sam and Mikey, were great, we were picked up at our hotel right on time and the overall bus ride was smooth. If you're in the city for a few days, definitely recommend this tour as you can get away from the city, experience the beautiful countryside, observe the street cultures outside of the city, and take in the view of the Saigon river, Happy Buddha, and all other Vietnam-specific attractions along the way.
