Ho Chi Minh City
Escape the bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and head straight to the countryside. Unlike standard big-bus tours, our Small Group van navigates the traffic faster, getting you to the site before the massive crowds arrive (for the morning slot). Watch the cityscape fade into rice paddies and rubber plantations. Your guide will provide an introduction to the Vietnam War (American War) context, setting the scene for what you are about to witness.
Ben Duoc tunnel complex
Upon arrival, watch a short documentary (a relic from the war era) before heading into the jungle. - Discover how a 200km underground web was built using simple tools. - See the ingenious and terrifying traps used during the conflict. - Experience the claustrophobic reality of tunnel life by crawling through a safe section of the tunnel (widened for visitors). Note: Crawling is optional; you can walk above ground if you prefer. For those interested in military history, there is an opportunity to fire real weapons (AK-47 or M16) at the National Defense Sports Shooting Range (bullets are at your own expense). Before leaving, sit down to taste boiled tapioca with sesame salt and hot pandan tea—the actual diet that sustained the Viet Cong fighters in the tunnels.
Pick-up and drop-off at the centrally located hotels in District 1.

Haha, our tour guide, is superb! He explained to us in details the historical background, and my kids, especially my youngest, was very amazed about the tunnels. As a guide, Haha is friendly and quite amiable. We also had wonderful experience with the driver, Hu. He navigated the Vietnam traffic with ease.

Yudi is a very responsible and attentive guide. My spouse and I signed up for the half day cu chi tunnel tour. Throughout the tour, Yudi was constantly looking out for us, making sure we are not left behind. Due to huge crowds in the private rooms for the documentary, Yudi was constantly giving us a heads up even before we reach the site, ensuring us that we could watch the video through YouTube or other online platforms. At the end of the tour, we were brought to the resting point where Yudi looked after us and constantly remind us to try out the local war delicacy (cassava). Thank you and we definitely appreciate tour guides like Yudi!

This tour was truly eye-opening, and a huge part of that was our exceptional guide. They were insightful without being heavy-handed, funny at just the right moments, and deeply relatable. They were prompt, well-organised, and clearly mindful of the group’s pace and emotional responses throughout. The tour itself highlights how war affects not just one moment in time, but generations of people long after the conflict ends. Complex history was explained with clarity and humanity, helping us understand the lasting social, cultural, and personal impacts. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a deeper, more human understanding of the subject.
