- We recommend starting early.
- The Cu Chi Tunnels attract visitors daily, becoming particularly congested on weekends and Vietnamese holidays. It's not uncommon to find long lines at every stop, making for a packed experience on any given day.
- A half-day usually suffices. Aim to reach the tunnels either before 8:30 AM or around 2:30 PM. By this time, the morning queues have dwindled, and the afternoon temperature is more pleasant.

What To Expect
Cu Chi Tunnels
8:00: We will pick you up at your hotel to start the Cu Chi Tunnels Half-Day Tour. We arrive in Cu Chi Tunnels (Ben Dinh or Ben Duoc). Then we will watch a propaganda film a wartime propaganda film showing how local guerilla fighters were “American Killing Heroes” (a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed). We then spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels in Cu Chi. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500-pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers. Also, you can try real gun shooting for extra (only for over 18 year-olds). At 02.30 pm – 03.00 pm, we arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and finish Cu Chi Tunnels Half-Day Tour.

5.00We had a wonderful trip to the Cu Chi tunnels. Our tour guide, Toan, was very knowledgeable and passionate when sharing information. We learnt so much during the experience and our toddler had a great day too. There was lots to see and do and we enjoyed firing the rifles at the shooting range. We recommend this tour, especially if you would like to avoid the crowds and have a more private experience.

5.00Our private tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels with Bunny was truly memorable. Bunny is an excellent guide who shared not only detailed knowledge about the American War but also broader insights into Vietnam’s long and fascinating history, which gave us a much deeper appreciation of the site. His explanations were clear, engaging, and full of context that made the experience truly memorable. The transport was a comfortable car, which made the journey easy and relaxing. Everything was well‑organised from start to finish, and we felt very well taken care of throughout the day.
