- We recommend starting early.
- The Cu Chi Tunnels attract visitors daily, becoming particularly congested on weekends and Vietnamese holidays. It's not uncommon to find long lines at every stop, making for a packed experience on any given day.
- A half-day usually suffices. Aim to reach the tunnels either before 8:30 AM or around 2:30 PM. By this time, the morning queues have dwindled, and the afternoon temperature is more pleasant.

What To Expect
Cu Chi Tunnels
8:00: We will pick you up at your hotel to start the Cu Chi Tunnels Half-Day Tour. We arrive in Cu Chi Tunnels (Ben Dinh or Ben Duoc). Then we will watch a propaganda film a wartime propaganda film showing how local guerilla fighters were “American Killing Heroes” (a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed). We then spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels in Cu Chi. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500-pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers. Also, you can try real gun shooting for extra (only for over 18 year-olds). At 02.30 pm – 03.00 pm, we arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and finish Cu Chi Tunnels Half-Day Tour.

5.00First of all, many thanks to Mr. Toan, our guide throughout the whole tour. It was a very pleasant adventure with him. I highly recommend him. The car was clean, the air conditioning worked very well, and we got free water for the whole trip. The Cu Chi Tunnels are a must-visit place — a tremendous site with a powerful sense of history. There were not many people, the toilets were clean, and there were plenty of cheap, fresh drinks available everywhere. We heard many stories, learned a lot about the history, and gained a great deal of new knowledge about that period of time.

5.00We had a wonderful time on our tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels. Bruno, our tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and his English was excellent. Pick up and drop off at our hotel was smooth and very convenient. We got to the tunnels earlier than most of the tour buses, so the area was not too crowded, and we could walk around most areas without a ton of people around. We learned a lot, got some great pictures, and we would definitely recommend this private tour.
