- The Cu Chi Tunnels attract visitors daily, becoming particularly congested on weekends and Vietnamese holidays. It's not uncommon to find long lines at every stop, making for a packed experience on any given day.
- A half-day usually suffices. Aim to reach the tunnels either before 8:30 AM or around 2:30 PM. By this time, the morning queues have dwindled, and the afternoon temperature is more pleasant.

What To Expect
Cu Chi Tunnels
8:00: We will pick you up at your hotel to start the Cu Chi Tunnels Half-Day Tour. We arrive in Cu Chi Tunnels (Ben Dinh or Ben Duoc). Then we will watch a propaganda film a wartime propaganda film showing how local guerilla fighters were “American Killing Heroes” (a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed). We then spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels in Cu Chi. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500-pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers. Also, you can try real gun shooting for extra (only for over 18 year-olds). At 02.30 pm – 03.00 pm, we arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and finish Cu Chi Tunnels Half-Day Tour.

5.00We booked a private tour for two people, and it was an amazing and comfortable experience beginning to end. Our guide, Hieu, was kind and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the city on the car ride to the tunnels, and got a great explanation of all facets of VC warfare. Much recommended!

5.00What a fantastic experience! Thoroughly enjoyed the activities that I got to do through this tour, including some that I was not expecting at all such as shooting guns from the Vietnam war, visiting locals to hear folklore singing and going to bee farms to taste fresh honey. The day was organised extremely well throughout with regular breaks and a range of activities for all people involved. A great experience and the best tour I’ve been on, with thanks to our tour guide Vinh who was engaging and informative! Loved the experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit Ho Chi Minh and see various sights in one day! Yay!

5.00We had an absolutely fantastic day with Kevin on the VIP Private Tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels. From start to finish, he made the experience seamless, educational, and genuinely fun—especially considering we brought our six-year-old daughter along. Right from the car trip there and back he was engaging and knowledgeable, weaving in history, personal stories, and local context that made the journey as interesting as the destination. He offered us a choice of destinations, and we opted for the less touristy, further location—something we genuinely appreciated for its authenticity. Kevin helped carry our bags, made sure our daughter was comfortable, and always spoke excellent English, making communication effortless. After exploring the tunnels, Kevin treated us to one of the best street-food experiences we’ve ever had—a local van full of flavour and charm that we never would have found on our own. His insider knowledge added a special touch that elevated the whole day. We cannot imagine doing this trip with another guide. If you’re looking for someone professional, friendly, attentive (especially with children), and full of fascinating insights, Kevin is the one. Highly recommended!

5.00We were picked up on time by our guide Bruno and the driver at our hotel. We made our way towards Cu Chi in a slow way due to this difficult Monday traffic. But in the meantime we got information about Vietnam and about the invasion of France and the war with the United States. Once we arrived we got a detailed guided tour of the tunnels, weapons etc. An incredibly educational and good day thanks to our guide Bruno

5.00Communication was great even before the tour and we were picked up on time by Hannah and the driver (in a pink car) at our hotel. Hannah explained a lot to us on the way (she knew everything and could answer all our questions). The tour was exactly as described online and we had plenty of time everywhere. In advance we also asked for an earlier tour start, which was possible without any problems. That was perfect, because we were already at the tunnels. Before too many other tourists were there. Hannah was a great guide and we can only recommend her. She always paid attention to us, showed and explained a lot to us and even gave tips for our rest of our Vietnam trip on the way back. We can recommend this tour 100%.
