- We recommend starting early.
- The Cu Chi Tunnels attract visitors daily, becoming particularly congested on weekends and Vietnamese holidays. It's not uncommon to find long lines at every stop, making for a packed experience on any given day.
- A half-day usually suffices. Aim to reach the tunnels either before 8:30 AM or around 2:30 PM. By this time, the morning queues have dwindled, and the afternoon temperature is more pleasant.

From when we were picked up until we returned, this was a memorable outing. Mr Toan is a mine of knowledge, explaining everything in detail, capturing the hardship of life in these tunnels. A superb guide! The stop off, on route, to the disabled persons workshop to view them making lacquered wood pictures, was a wonder. Thoroughly recommend these guys, and worth every penny!

Great experience, Betty my tour guide was very passionate and detailed about the area. Travelling with me and showing parts that may be missed on a group tour.

My husband and I took a private tour today and had the best experience. We were picked up at our hotel at 730am by our driver and tour guide. The actually exhibit itself was very intense and well preserved for visitors. Our tour guide really made the day though! He has been giving these tours for 30 years and was a wealth of information. He took as much time as we needed to answer our many questions about the war, history of Vietnam and the exploring the city while we were are here. We were dropped back to our hotel by 2:30pm. Thrilled with the entire day!

We went in a private car with our tour guide Bunny who was very knowledgeable with interesting information. The tour began directly in the car on the way to Cu Chi Ben duoc entrance, she gave good background information about the various wars in Vietnam which really enhanced the experience on site. Entering the tunnels and walking/crawling was a cool experience. Bunny continued to give interesting information and context at the tunnels, as well as taking photos. She is kind, funny and very well read on Vietnamese history.

We did this tour on the 3rd Feb 2026. Our guide Captain Bruno was engaging, informative and took care of us all including my 73yr old father. Our driver, Mr Phu was sweet and drove safely. We visited the Ben Duoc tunnels and somehow were able to miss most crowds during our tour. Highly recommended.

This isn’t just a tour out to see the tunnels but a tour that also goes into the history of Vietnam over the last 100 years! Our tour guide for the day was Kevin and he was amazing! I would fully recommend the private tour. You can go at your own pace and learn so much about the history of Vietnam, the war, agent origin and the way the soldiers survived and fought through the tunnels system! Great tour! One of the best I’ve been on! Ask for Kevin if you can! Incredibly knowledgable!!!

Hannah Banana gave us an amazing tour of the Cu Chi tunnels. She's knowledgeable, friendly, and has answers for all your questions. Price is reasonable for a comfortable private trip to the tunnels and allows you to travel on your groups time. Tunnels are a must see. Bring water, sunnies, and comfortable shoes. I'm 6 foot 4 (195cm) and crawled to the 20 meter mark no problems.
