Playing curling is an authentic experience of Canadian northern life.

What To Expect

Upon arrival at the curling club, join the IDEOH group, an instructor will explain safety tips. Before the game begins, a curling coach will teach you basic curling techniques for 30 minutes. For the rest of the time, under the coach's supervision, you can play as a team while having fun for the rest of the game. In curling, there are two teams of 4 players. The maximum number of participants for our curling experience activity is 10. Expect to play with other people.

This was so much fun! I had wanted to try it for years and it did not disappoint. The team was truly welcoming, had great energy, and we're all clearly passionate about the sport. The coaching was clear and patient and we all had a great time.

The Olympics are coming! Sadly, we won’t be competing. However, we had a great time being introduced to the sport of curling. The stance, the release, the sweeping!

We have always been fascinated watching curling in the Olympics so when we say this activity listed we had to give it a try. Everyone at the club was so welcoming and safety focused. We learned a ton and had such a fun afternoon. I highly recommend you do this if you are in Montreal or Quebec. I hope to do it again someday.

Brandon was a fantastic coach!. This was our first introduction to curling and Brandon did a great job of teaching a wide variety of ages while keeping things light and fun. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Montreal and highly recommend others to try!

Amazing curling experience! Everything was extremely professional, fun, and surprisingly instructional. Our coach, Robert, was fantastic — patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole session a blast. We walked away with new skills and great memories. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and awesome activity!

Very good experience, the teacher Brandon was great, we were able to learn the basics of the sport in one session and make several shots that reached the “home”. The fact that he is bilingual French/English was a big plus. Very fun experience with small matches. We loved it and highly recommend this activity.

10/10 recommend! A fun experience to learn about the sport of curling and play a game. Our instructor, Brandon, was wonderful! He was able to get our whole family sliding, throwing, and sweeping before we were done! The atmosphere was great along with everyone we met at the club. A once-in-a-lifetime experience! Don’t miss it!
