Our incredible fashion designers are talented youth who have been trained through Yimba Uganda’s youth empowerment program. They are skilled in a wide range of international styles and can bring any design you envision to life! From African kitenges, linen to tailored suits - we've got you covered!

The vibrant, authentic African fabrics available in Uganda are truly one-of-a-kind—bright, bold, and bursting with color, just like Uganda’s rich culture! And the best part? 100% of our profits go directly into supporting Yimba Uganda’s economic empowerment initiatives, helping to create more opportunities for youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.

What To Expect

Come join us at the Yimba Fashions workshop, where you'll meet the talented Yimba Uganda students and enjoy a personalized consultation with our expert fashion designers! You’ll have the opportunity to custom design any outfit you desire and choose from a wide selection of fabrics (or bring your own—ask about our fabric market tours if you'd like a guided shopping experience). After we’ve selected the ideal design and taken your measurements, return after a few days for your fitting. Leave with a perfectly tailored outfit made just for you! (Average turn around time is 3 days, but we can do quicker turnaround via request).

I had a wonderful experience working with Yimba to get some custom clothing while I was traveling in Uganda. They were so helpful, professional, and quick with the turnaround. They have so many options available. It is amazing. Even better are the community projects they support, including the initiative that trains the local team of tailors and seamstresses who design and make the items. A great experience and product. Absolutely recommend.

Anne-Marie, along with the staff at Yimba Fashions are incredible! Just before we were headed back home from Uganda, I knew that I wanted a few items custom pieces from Yimba Uganda as their products are always so beautiful!. I was able to message Anne-Marie, where she worked with me to create several custom pieces including clothing for my children, headbands for my newborn daughter, and a custom carseat/stroller "Pram" cover to use during colder months. I was able to decide which fabric/material I wanted for each piece. The services were completed in a timely manner (which was so impressive) and afterwards, I was able to pick up at a location near to me by meeting one of the Yimba Staff. The products were absolutely beautiful! I'm so happy that I ordered from Yimba Fashions Uganda and can't wait to order again! xx

Yimba is our one stop place for all of our family's custom clothing! They have done our wedding, groomsmen suits and bridesmaids dresses, they've done family sets, alterations and more. I take a picture to them and they make it happen. Would totally recommend!

Best tailors in Kampala - quick, efficient and so friendly! I have ordered everything from suits, african wear, casual wear and it has always turned out great. Even better that it is supporting a worthy cause!
