The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses
Avoid crowded tour buses and slow-moving tour groups with a handy private driver to take you to the famous Terracotta Warriors. Meet your local guide at 8am in the hotel lobby. You are expecting 7000 life size terracotta warriors all in the real battle formation, which were buried underground over 2200 years (recommended visiting time: 2.5 hours with lots of flat walking). The Museum visit includes three original pits, Pit 1 as the main force, Pit 2 as the Flexible Troupe and Pit 3 as Command Center. There is also an exhibition hall for different exhibitions from time to time. This is definitely a treasure house to study the history of the first dynasty of China, the Qin Dynasty.
Xi'an City Wall
Xi'an city wall is the only intact city wall kept in China and is now the landmark of Xi'an. With the length of 13.74 kilometers, the wall is in a rectangular shape in a perfect defense system. By ascending the wall, you can see the moat, the arrow tower and the watch towers and the water drainage system.

My husband and I did the private tour of Xi’an with our tour guide, Wendy and we had an amazing day! We were picked up promptly from our hotel and met our guide in the hotel lobby. First we went to the terracotta warriors. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history behind the site and pointed out so many details that we would have missed if we went alone. Then we went to the wild goose pagoda which was STUNNING! Wendy took such amazing photos of us while we were there. We stopped for biang biang noodles half way through the tour and she helped us order off the menu. We also had a separate dinner show booked for the evening and they offered to drive us there. Our driver for the day surprised us with a snack that we said we liked earlier in the day. This tour provided excellent service that went above and beyond our expectations. We had a great time today learning about Xi’an

I had a wonderful time with Wendy. She is so knowledgeable about the site, its history, and its philosophy. I enjoyed every moment of my time with her. We started at 8:30 am with a personal driver and visited the Bell Tower, the Drum Tower, and had a walk on the ancient city wall. Then, we headed to the main attraction: the Museum of the Terracotta Army. On our way, we watched an hour-long live show on the history of the terracotta soldiers. I have never seen anything like that before in my life! Watching that show before finally visiting the mesmerizing terracotta site allowed me to truly relate to the history, the human suffering, the consequences of war, and how an autocratic ruler can bring so much pain to people's lives. On the way back to the hotel, we also visited the Wild Goose Pagoda and the Muslim Quarter in Xi'an, where I tried some traditional Muslim food. It was truly a memorable tour!

Wendy was an amazing guide. She had alot of information to provide and made sure we were always comfortable throughout the day. The terra cotta army was very hectic so having a private guide made it much easier to move around and see the sights. Would definitely recommend!

We had an absolutely fantastic full-day tour in Xi’an with our guide Wendy! From start to finish, everything was seamless and thoughtfully organized. Wendy and her driver were outstanding—punctual, professional, and incredibly accommodating. The van was spotless, spacious, and well-stocked with plenty of water, which made the day even more comfortable. Wendy’s knowledge of Chinese history and culture is truly impressive. She shared fascinating insights in such an engaging and friendly way that it never felt like a “tour”—more like spending the day exploring with a knowledgeable friend. We found ourselves chatting about everything, and the day just flew by! What really stood out was her ability to tailor the experience. She recommended hidden gems and activities we wouldn’t have discovered on our own, and also guided us away from places that weren’t worth the time—something we really appreciated. We can’t recommend Wendy highly enough—100% worth it! Thank you for such a memorable experience!
