The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses
Avoid crowded tour buses and slow-moving tour groups with a handy private driver to take you to the famous Terracotta Warriors. Meet your local guide at 8am in the hotel lobby. You are expecting 7000 life size terracotta warriors all in the real battle formation, which were buried underground over 2200 years (recommended visiting time: 2.5 hours with lots of flat walking). The Museum visit includes three original pits, Pit 1 as the main force, Pit 2 as the Flexible Troupe and Pit 3 as Command Center. There is also an exhibition hall for different exhibitions from time to time. This is definitely a treasure house to study the history of the first dynasty of China, the Qin Dynasty.
Xi'an City Wall (Chengqiang)
Xi'an city wall is the only intact city wall kept in China and is now the landmark of Xi'an. With the length of 13.74 kilometers, the wall is in a rectangular shape in a perfect defense system. By ascending the wall, you can see the moat, the arrow tower and the watch towers and the water drainage system.
Hotel pick-up and drop-off: Pick-up and drop-off at hotel. This is a relaxing one day private tour with english speaking guide. Visit the terra-cotta warriors and other two attractions in downtown Xi'an as per your likes.

Some may opt to try to get to the Terracotta Warrior complex by train or by bus tour, but we opted for the private tour to save time and any frustration of trying to keep up with a tour group in a sea of tour groups and maybe hear snippets of what you're staring at. This tour was well worth the time and fee! We were picked up promptly at our hotel by our smiling guide and then driven in a comfortable van an hour or so out to the covered dig sites pits and elaborate museum hall. Bottled water was supplied too, which given the high heat at the time, made it a necessary thing. Keep in. mind these are well preserved artifacts and displays with busy crowds of other sightseers inching their way to get that great camera phone or camera shot. The fee you pay covers the entrance fee, the private van, and amazing guide who'll not just explain what all is to be found at the Terracotta Warrior displays but its history as well. An added benefit was that she also took photos of us instead of us trying to get our own out of focus selfies. Our guide also recommended where to get some nice snacks and tolerated my souvenir shopping because, hey, it's the Terracotta Warriors! Do yourself a favor and opt for the private tour because if you're spending all the time and expense to get to Xi'an, spend a little of comfort and convenience.

This was such an amazing experience. Wendy is so well read and informed of not just the terracotta warriors but of all of Chinese history. We covered so much in a day and she was so flexible as to accommodate changes and requests.

Thank you Wendy for making our visit special! We are so glad we booked her as a guide around Xian, would not hesitate to recommend her to all. Being in a new place with language and culture barriers, Wendy communicated well, her tour was exactly and more as booked. She put us at ease immediately. A new friend and would definitely use her services again! Thank you Wendy!

The tour with Wendy and her driver is a) a really good value, b) really informative and c) really enjoyable. The customization and flexibility was nice because aside from the Terra Cotta Warriors, we also wanted an easy stroll around the City Walls and through interesting parts of the city like the Muslim Quarter. She delivered on both and we had a really fun time. She is so well spoken, and very easy to converse with. And she is really informative, both about the history, and also with insights behind the Chinese culture, language, and philosophy. Those who are really curious will enjoy their time with Wendy - she is a seasoned veteran guide for more than a decade, and is educated locally in Xi’an. If you decide to have lunch during the tour - opt for the noodles, the place she took us to with the hand pulled noodles was one of the best meals we had in China. She is a fantastic guide and well worth the fee. Highly recommend!

Agnes is a fantastic guide who explained us, through the entire journey, all the details regarding the history of the Terracotta Warriors and beyond. She was also really nice with our little daughter. We truly recommend this tour with her!

I originally hired Wendy for a 3-day tour in the Xian area so all was planned and arranged through her. I was adamant about going to the Shaanxi museum which most tours avoid since they have to work hard to acquire the ticket. Wendy said she would do her best and made our wish come true! A month before our trip Wendy had an important family commitment that forced her to hand our trip over to her colleague Becky. We were apprehensive....but Becky was great! She knew and followed our itinerary to the letter, took care to give us as much time as we liked in every site, Knew VERY much about each of the sites we visited, ran interference for us at the warriors as rude and aggressive tourists pushed and shoved, took us to her favorite restaurants for EXCELLENT and cheap local dishes, tended to our evey need...and on and on. We loved our trip with Becky and highly recommed her. Please seek these ladies out for a memorable trip to Xi'an! You only visit once...make it the best!

I had booked this private tour for two friends and I, and had a fantastic experience. Wendy was very knowledgeable and passionate about all the sites we attended. As a result we were really able to immerse ourselves at each cultural site. It wouldn't have been the same if we done this ourselves. Wendy also helped organise a driver and tickets to the Silk Road Show for the following day, which was incredible. Overall, Wendy and the driver were awesome, very friendly and definitely made our trip to Xi'an even more worth it. Thank you!!

I cannot state how happy our day with Wendy went. She has given us so much information about China’s ancient history and all the beautiful places we have been to. She helped us customize the day to our liking, and had so many tips about where to go. We saw the warriors, the pagoda, the city wall. The Silk Road show was epic, my goodness! We were taken to the biang biang noodles for lunch, I we finished it all, so delicious! Wendy was so friendly, joyful, and it felt like seeing Xi’-An with family, truly an amazing day; probably one of the best tours we have ever been on. The driving was also great, safe, focused, and punctual. Thank you for a great time! It was epic!

A fascinating tour of the Terracotta Warriors, Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Muslim Quarter with a great lunch in-between as well. Huge thanks to Wendy and Liu for a brilliant day. Wendy's friendliness, enthusiasm and knowledge of the city is extremely impressive and really brings the history to life. She's an absolute professional. Highly recommend if you are visiting Xian.
