We went to different local people’s houses and got a real taste of their daily lives and the work they do, including how they make rice paper, the fruits they harvest, rice wine and how they make sticky rice and cook in bamboo. It was lovely to go around the country side in the bicycles and tuk tuks. The guides were really good at explaining everything, and were very warm and friendly! Highly recommend this company

This is a must tour if visiting Battambang. This is by far the best way to get around the city and see everything at a pace where you can take it in and appreciate everything. The guide are meticulously professional keeping everything easy and safe whilst being informative. Just importantly is was straight out fun to do. We saw so much, learned so much and could not have been looked after any better. Easily recommend this as a do not miss tour.

Had so much fun in a half day bicycle trip with Pich. He is an amazing guide, his explanations in English were really clear and helped me to understand more about history and culture of people living in Battambang. We visited local family making rice paper, banana on rice paper, and fish soup market, fruits shop, steamed rice cake shop and temple. 7:30-12:00.

I did this tour 10 years ago and back in Battambang, I decided to do it once more. The guide, Peak was excellent - so kind and generous with his time and understanding. The tour itself was as I remembered fun and informative and a great way to see the surrounding countryside.

What a great experience! We met a variety of craftspeople, sampled sticky rice and a fermented fish snack, chatted with a couple of monks and ended our day with a delicious lunch of fish and vegetables. Our guide, Pek was great; a good source of information but, better yet, a great companion who gave us a lot of insight into life in Cambodia. We are 63-70 years old, moderately physically fit and rarely ride bikes. The ride wasn't easy, but it wasn't overly difficult, either. Pek offered us two circuits, and I was glad we chose the shorter one.

Had a wonderful morning with Paulla. His English was exceptional, and he had great stories to share with us about his life growing up in Cambodia, the history of Cambodia and Battambang. Pace of the ride was just right - not too fast, not too slow. He took care to ensure our safety along the way and take water break as needed. One of the best things we did on our trip to Battambang. Would highly recommend and definitely do again the next time I visit. Thank you again. Paulla for an amazing morning. 😊

Wonderful way to discover the countryside and some traditional and local specialties. Our guide Savith was excellent, with great knowledgeable, and a friendly personality. Savith was as well our translator for any questions we had.He took us along the countryside meeting locals families and sharing their food specialties. A lot of snacks along the way, super easy to ride the bike in that part of the country and great atmosphere!

The Local Livelihood Half Day Cycling Tour in Battambang with Savit was a fantastic experience. From the moment we started, Savit’s warm and knowledgeable approach made the tour both engaging and educational. Cycling through the peaceful countryside, we got a firsthand look at the local way of life, visiting traditional workshops, rice paddies, and small family-run businesses. Savit’s passion for his community shone through in every story he shared, making the experience truly authentic and enriching. The pace was perfect, the scenery breathtaking, and the insights into local culture were amazing. I left with a deep appreciation for the resilience and creativity of the people in this beautiful region. This tour is a must for anyone visiting Battambang – thank you, Savit, for an incredible morning!

We had an interesting half day tour with Phalla who was very generous with his knowledge as we learnt about local life around Battambang. We booked in person at their shop and Kanha was helpful to advise a half day tour, we appreciated this recommendation given the June heat we are currently experiencing! We wanted to ride a little further to explore some of the surrounding landscape and they helpfully adjusted the route. We had the right balance of learning about the local economy through various sellers and spending time with a practising monk. Refreshment stops were taken in local places away from the tourist trail and it gave us chance to explore off the beaten path. A highlight of our trip to Battambang which we will reflect upon in the future. Many thanks, Ryan & Ali
